John fell in love with Florida. Crazy. Once and for all. So much so that I wanted to buy myself a piece of it. A corner that would always be his. Him and Yoko. Love nest in Palm Beach. Something very far from the proletarian roots of the Liverpool bully and bully John.
A poor student from Liverpool and a Japanese aristocrat from a wealthy family with refined taste and an excellent education. What could they have in common? It was just that both had a restless rebellious spirit and a thirst for experimentation. Their love for each other, which went beyond all limits, became the subject of gossip and condemnation of close friends, was true and deep. For love does not accept any framework and standards.
The meeting was predetermined by fate itself. Restless John was endlessly bored with the submissive and kind Cynthia. Yoko was different: she miraculously combined the qualities of a strict domineering teacher (like John's aunt, Mimi, who raised him) and reckless Julia (John's mother). She conquered Lennon, he was interested with her as never before and with anyone before.
The novel unfolded violently and rapidly. Lennon divorced his wife. Dumped his son Julian. This is how the avant-garde epic of their love began in the life of Lennon and Ono. It was filled with protests, scandals, politics. Their names did not leave the pages of newspapers. The activities of this non-standard couple fully fell under some articles of the criminal code of both the UK and the USA. But, as you know, over time, a lot can get bored. Rebellion began to recede into the past. In place came regularity and good looks.
They say that once having visited Florida, Lennon said how she fascinated him and he would like to live here. The abundance of the sun, the ocean, the mild climate - all this was for John, tired of cold England, just paradise. She and Yoko decided to buy a house that would become a family nest for them. In an atmosphere of complete secrecy, without even leaving to see this mansion (John and Yoko asked the agent to take photographs on a Polaroid), after the advice of the seers, the couple buys it.
The Florida estate, called "El Solano", covers an area of half a hectare. There are seven bedrooms in the main building and a luxurious guest house. This mansion was built in 1925 by the renowned architect Addison Misner. It has retained many of its historical features. Some of them are gorgeous handcrafted ceilings. The house is designed in accordance with the Mediterranean and Spanish colonial styles. Such buildings can often be found in Florida.
The house was bought by Lennon and Ono shortly before the murder of John by Mark Chapman in 1980. According to the biographical book about the former Beatle, Man From Nowhere: The Last Days of John Lennon, the rock and roll icon loved this sun-drenched paradise on earth. After the gloomy Dakota and the harsh New York winter, he said he was able to breathe again.
John Lennon, despite his seeming spirituality, has never been a believer. In his life, he always relied on His Majesty's chance. The death of the rock star, however, was natural. Lennon from a rebel turned into a peaceful family man-multimillionaire. Not a trace remained of the old ideals. Chapman was disappointed. He considered Lennon a god, wanted to be like him in everything. He even married an older Japanese woman. God betrayed him. For this, Chapman killed him.
Paradoxically, thanks to this unfortunate schizophrenic, Lennon gained true immortality. His name has become a legend. Martyrdom completed the perfect image of "Saint" Lennon. It is not customary to talk about him disrespectfully. Songs that often do not shine with quality are not accepted to criticize. Sadly, the life of the idol of millions ended so stupidly and tragically. It was just such an end that the noble and virtuous aunt Mimi feared for her beloved nephew.
With Palm Beach, besides John Lennon, many other high-profile names are associated. For example, the author James Patterson lives next door. Some even think that their homes are united. But this is just an unusual architectural feature of these buildings.
The Palm Beach has a typically luxurious look, although Lennon and Yoko reportedly wanted to make a change. But they did not have time. There are huge chandeliers throughout the house, although there is no particular need for them. Indeed, in almost every room there are large windows from which streams of bright sunlight pour out. The estate has two swimming pools, one in front of the house for use of the time before lunch, and one in the back for use at sunset. There are also tennis courts, its own laundry, an oceanfront gazebo.
Yoko Ono underwent reconstruction after her husband's death. She then sold the estate in 1986. Now, as the estate of the former "Beatle" is worth cosmic money, even in spite of the crisis. Although, in general, property prices are steadily falling.

Which predictions of the futurists of the 1950s have already come true, and which will come true soon: distance learning, drones, etc
Futurology is a very interesting teaching that is at the intersection of science, art and common sense. It has nothing to do with predictions, since futurologists always carefully follow technical innovations and try to guess the vector of human development. Sometimes it works out well, and then we admire their perspicacity, sometimes the trends are guessed wrong, and in that case it looks funny. Not so long ago, another direction has become fashionable - retrofuturism, - the study of prog
