Films by Ivan Pyryev "Tractor Drivers", "The Legend of the Siberian Land", "Kuban Cossacks" brought national fame and love to Boris Andreev, who starred in them. They also gave me a meeting with Pyotr Aleinikov, the best friend of Boris Andreev. It was thanks to Peter Aleinikov that the actor literally married the first person he met. However, Boris Fedorovich himself never regretted it.
Without a movie dream
At the age of 15, Boris Andreev already worked as an electrician at a combine plant in Saratov and studied in parallel at the School of Working Youth. Like many at that time, he was fond of amateur performances and with great pleasure attended classes in the factory drama club in his free time.
It was there that the famous actor Ivan Slonov, who once served at the Komissarzhevskaya Theater, drew attention to the talented young man. He advised young Boris Andreev to develop his talent. And he recommended to enter the Saratov Theater School. The management of the plant decided to pay their work stipend while he was studying at the theater school, and when Boris Andreev came to the plant with a barely received diploma, one of the old workers, patting the graduate on the shoulder, said that this year the plant produced not only 1,738 harvesters, but also one actor.
Friendship for life
On tour of the Saratov Drama Theater in Moscow, during one of the performances, the actor was noticed by Ivan Pyriev himself and invited to audition for the film "Tractor Drivers". The role of Nazar Duma brought fame and recognition to Boris Andreev, and also presented a friend for life - Peter Aleinikov. They met on the set of "tractor drivers", after they starred together in the film "Fighters" by Eduard Penzlin.
Boris Andreev and Pyotr Aleinikov almost never parted. They were ready for each other in fire and water, worked together in many paintings and, sadly, began to drink a lot. After their feasts, real legends circulated about the "exploits" of actors known throughout the Soviet Union. Once they, being well drunk, smashed the window of a furniture store and went to sleep on the exposed bed.
Naturally, they were taken to the police station, where Andreev did not allow the police officer to write a protocol, simply drinking ink from an inkwell. Fortunately, the head of the ROVD turned out to be a big fan of cinema, and after an impromptu creative evening, he released the actors in peace, did not even begin to make any suggestions and write to the film studio.
There were even more serious incidents in the life of Boris Andreev. He could easily end up in jail for criticizing the Soviet leadership. While drunk, he allowed himself to speak impartially about the authorities and was detained on a denunciation of the actor. But fate, it seems, favored him: the films with the participation of Boris Andreev were loved by Comrade Stalin himself, so the matter did not come to accusations of anti-Soviet propaganda.
Marry the first person you meet
Pyotr Aleinikov and Boris Andreev very often starred together, their creative tandem was loved by the whole country. And thanks to Peter Aleinikov, Boris Andreev married almost the first girl he met.
Then the friends were in Kiev, and during the trip on the trolleybus Aleinikov began to make fun of his friend. Say, not a single girl will marry an actor who looks like a lump, and even with such a rustic country face. Andreev immediately retorted: he will take and marry Aleinikov to the very first girl who enters the trolleybus.
At the nearest stop, a whole youth group burst into the salon. And among them is a girl who immediately liked the actor. Boris Andreev immediately met Galina and went to see her off. True, before marrying her, he had to endure a confrontation with the girl's parents. The reputation of a rowdy and a lover of alcoholic beverages was already firmly entrenched in the artist, and Galina's father, who served in the police, in no case agreed to marry his daughter to Andreev.
But over time, the parents' resistance was still overcome, and the lovers went to the registry office. Boris Fedorovich and Galina Vasilievna lived together a whole life, raised a wonderful son, who was named, like his father, Boris. Subsequently, he became a doctor of philosophy, professor at the University of Culture in Moscow.
Lived two lives
Boris Andreev spoke about himself: he seemed to have lived two lives. One was his life, and the second was the life of an actor, lived in different images of his heroes. He was very talented and serious about his work. He always carefully prepared for filming, did not allow himself to treat with disdain for those who were next to him on the set, be it a director or a simple technician. Colleagues, directors and ordinary studio staff loved Andreev, and the audience always and everywhere received the artist with enthusiasm. He was truly a popular favorite.
However, he himself knew how to love and be faithful until the very last day. When Pyotr Aleinikov died in 1965, Boris Andreev was grieving at the loss. He knew that his friend dreamed of resting at the Novodevichy cemetery, but the authorities refused to allocate a place for the artist there due to his lack of any titles and awards, with the exception of the Order of the Badge of Honor.
Boris Andreev himself, People's Artist of the USSR and winner of many awards, including two Stalin prizes, put on all his orders and medals and went to the chairman of the executive committee of the Moscow Soviet, Vladimir Promyslov, to plead for the burial place of his friend. Hearing a refusal, he asked where he would be buried. Hearing that Novodevichye was due to him, Boris Fedorovich demanded that his place be given to a friend. And bury him where he pleases. The high official surrendered under the pressure of the famous artist. Boris Andreev was satisfied: he fulfilled his friend's last dream.
Shortly before his departure, Boris Fedorovich, who arrived in April 1982 from another tour, confessed to his son that he was very tired, probably his life had come to an end. For two years his wife was seriously ill, and the actor did not allow himself to go on long creative business trips, trying to spend more time with Galina Vasilievna. The next day, after talking with his son, Boris Andreev was in the hospital. And when he was already on the mend, he suddenly had a dream. He saw himself surrounded by many people at the gate of the temple. In the evening he was gone.
The artist was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery.
The best friend of Boris Andreev was the famous actor, idol of Soviet television viewers, Pyotr Martynovich Aleinikov. Charismatic and charming, funny and joker Aleinikov won the hearts of thousands of fans. But this was not enough for the actor, for real creativity, it seemed to him, something else was needed.
