Yuri Nikulin and Oleg Popov, Efremov and Evstigneev, as well as Magomayev and Bulbul-oglu: all the examples collected in this collection are especially sad because of the sincere friendship that famous artists showed before their quarrels. It seems that they were all incredibly talented, loved by the audience and performed with constant success, but until the end of their lives they continued to be enemies.
Yuri Nikulin and Oleg Popov
Since the early 1950s, two magnificent clowns have known each other - they were once brought together by the legendary Pencil (Mikhail Rumyantsev). Nikulin and Popov were friends for many years and even put on joint numbers, but then ambiguous situations began to arise in their work. Popov worked in a new circus on Prospekt Vernadsky, and Nikulin in a circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, and both teams took turns on tour to Leningrad. After that, local newspapers wrote: Nikulin made a scandal, assured that their program was absolutely new, and they invented their own reprises, but nothing could be changed.
After this incident, the two most famous clowns in the Soviet Union tried to keep them away from each other, but this did not always work: in 1981, Yuri Nikulin was appointed chief director and then director of the circus, but Oleg Popov, who had just celebrated his 50th birthday, it turns out that he also dreamed of a director's chair. Ten years later, Oleg Konstantinovich really wanted to celebrate his 60th birthday in the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, but Nikulin allegedly forbade it. Yuri Vladimirovich's wife explained later, many years later, that the ceiling collapsed in the building then and urgent repairs were required, but the offended Popov did not want to listen to anything. So the two most cheerful people in our country did not reconcile. A year before his death, Oleg Popov visited the grave of a former friend at the Novodevichy cemetery.
Oleg Efremov and Evgeny Evstigneev
Oleg Efremov and Evgeny Evstigneev stood at the origins of the Sovremennik Theater. Their friendship began in the 50s and was unshakable for a couple of decades, and then something went wrong … The enchanting success at Sovremennik was replaced by work at the Moscow Art Theater. Efremov was transferred there and appointed head, Evstigneev followed him. Friends of the actors recalled that he was ready to follow his friend anywhere, but in this case, this step may have been wrong.
Evgeny Aleksandrovich complained that with a huge workload in the theater, the roles he got are not very interesting, so he began to respond more and more to invitations from directors to act in films. Efremov never understood this. For him, it was the theater that was primary, and everything else could wait. Conflicts began between recent friends, reaching into real quarrels. Once, in response to Evstigneev's request to reduce the load in the theater for the sake of filming a movie, Efremov replied sharply:. Unfortunately, this turned out to be no joke, the strict leader was ready to sacrifice friendship for the sake of discipline, and Evgeny Aleksandrovich eventually left the Moscow Art Theater. Of course, the famous actor did not remain without work, but he kept resentment and bitterness in his heart for life. They say that Efremov then called him back, but nothing came of it.
Muslim Magomayev and Polad Bulbul-oglu
The friendship between the two famous singers began in early childhood. Both lived in Baku, in neighboring houses, and therefore knew each other literally from the cradle. Magomayev was three years older, and with a musical career at first, he was doing better. All-Union fame came after his performance in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses at the final concert of the festival of Azerbaijani art in 1963. Therefore, the singer rendered his childhood friend significant help - he helped him get a job in Moscow, introduced him to his circle of acquaintances and, by and large, opened the way for him to popularity.
The general opinion in this quarrel as a whole remained on the side of Magomayev. Most of his friends thought that Polad Bulbul-oglu, having taken off to the top of success too quickly, became prone to harsh judgments, and quarrels began to happen between friends more and more often. The final break occurred in the early 2000s. Bulbul-oglu received the post of Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, but he failed (according to Magomayev) to organize a holiday in honor of the late grandfather of the famous singer with sufficient scope. Abdul-Muslim Magomayev was one of the founders of Azerbaijani classical music, the national philharmonic society bears his name, so it was really impossible not to mention his contribution to the culture of his native country. This incident greatly influenced the views of Muslim Magomayev. The result was not only his complete break with his childhood friend, but also the change of Azerbaijani citizenship to Russian. The singer explained his decision as follows:
Muslim Magomayev remained in the memory of people as a real darling of fate, however, real Black stripes: Why the singer was not allowed abroad, and why he decided to leave the stage.

Rogvolodovich, not Rurikovich: Why Prince Yaroslav the Wise did not love the Slavs and did not spare his brothers
In the official historiography, Yaroslav the Wise for a long time appeared to be an almost sinless ruler, the creator of legality in the Russian lands. In our time, he is already accused of sending several of his brothers to the next world in order to occupy the Kiev throne. But was it only the desire for power that drove Prince Yaroslav? If you look at the history of his family, then everything that happens is more like revenge … to his father. Bloody revenge for bloody atrocity

What the Soviet Chukchi and American Eskimos did not share in 1947 and how they almost fanned the conflict between the USSR and the USA
Most anthropological scientists agree that the inhabitants of the North, the Eskimos and the Chukchi, belong to the same race - the so-called Arctic. Those who hold a different opinion cannot but agree that over the long history of the northern peoples there has been such a close interpenetration of ethnic groups that they have actually become relatives. And yet, despite such close ties, the indigenous population of Soviet Chukotka and American Alaska was constantly at odds with
She did not promote the Germans, did not ruin Russia, did not leave the course of Peter: what is Anna Ioannovna accused of in vain?
Anna Ioannovna, niece of Peter the Great, went down in history with a terrible image. For what they just did not reproach the second ruling queen of Russia: for tyranny and ignorance, craving for luxury, indifference to state affairs and for the fact that the dominance of the Germans was in power. Anna Ioannovna had a lot of bad character, but the myth about her as an unsuccessful ruler who gave Russia to be torn apart by foreigners is very far from the real historical picture
"Skeletons in the closet" of Soviet films: Novels, intrigues, quarrels and other incidents that the audience did not know about
