Information visualization specialist Georgia Lupi (Giorgia Lupi) presented her ambitious project dedicated to the study of the phenomenon of genius among literary men. Georgia does not answer the question "who is the best writer?", But offers an alternative view of the phenomenon of great writing.
In his work Georgia Lupi relied on the book of the famous literary theorist Harold Bloom (Harold Bloom) "Genius: a mosaic of hundreds of exemplary examples of creative people" (Genius: a mosaic of one hundred exemplary creative minds). When writing your book Harold Bloom I was fully aware of the fact that the phenomenon of genius cannot be built into any scale of values, since each of the outstanding writers occupies its own unique place in world culture. Therefore, he resorted to the ancient Kabbalistic image of the Tree of Life, placing ten prominent writers on each of its ten branches. Each branch symbolizes a certain manifestation of God: from wisdom and mercy to beauty and greatness. Infographics Georgia Lupi takes into account other factors, such as the geographical origin of the writer, his years of life and the number of visits to his page on Wikipedia.

The geographical affiliation of a writer can be determined by the color of the rhombus under its serial number: yellow - Europe, green - Asia, gray - Africa, purple - Latin America, pink - North America. The length of the line indicates the writer's temporary affiliation, and its type indicates the author's "specialization": a straight line - a writer, a dotted line - a poet, a double straight line - a philosopher. The phenomenon of genius is difficult to define, and there are often cases when it borders on insanity. But the conceptual design Harold Bloom and its visualization Georgia Lupi nevertheless, they slightly lift the veil over this mystery.
