For those who shiver in the street under the cold winter wind and complain about bad weather, it is worth looking at the photos from the Yakut village of Oymyakon. The lowest temperature of -67.7 ° C was recorded there in 1933, but usually in January we should expect more "benign" frosts of -50 ° C. New Zealand photographer Amos Chapple (Amos Chapple) decided to spend two days on a trip from Yakutsk, which is considered to be the coldest large city on Earth, to Oymyakon and capture the ordinary life of the inhabitants of these regions.
"," - says Amos Chapple his first impressions of Yakutia. Even the photographer's camera was not able to cope with the weather and periodically the lenses froze and refused to zoom in or focus.
Cold can not only annoy, but also create real works of art: symmetrical snowflakes, ice balls, snow flowers and even ice lace.
