May 27 marks the 53rd anniversary of the famous actress and TV presenter, Honored Artist of Russia Maria Shukshina. Today, no one speaks of her only as the daughter of famous parents - Vasily Shukshin and Lydia Fedoseeva-Shukshina. Probably, she can be called a successful person in all respects - she has more than 50 film roles, dozens of episodes of the program "Wait for Me", she is a happy mother of four children. The range of roles played by her is very wide, but almost all of her heroines are strong and strong-willed women. She is united with them not only by an iron will, but also by many trials, about which Maria prefers to remain silent …

Her path was predetermined from birth, because she was born into the family of the famous writer, actor and film director Vasily Shukshin and actress Lydia Fedoseeva-Shukshina. Thanks to her parents, she starred in films almost from the cradle - at the age of one and a half, Maria first appeared on the set with her mother in her father's film almanac "Strange People". At the age of 5, she again starred with her mother in Shukshin's film "Stove-benches", and at the age of 7 - in the film by Sergei Nikonenko "Birds over the City". In the same year, her father passed away, who was only 45 years old.

Years later, Maria admitted that childhood memories of her father were too few to understand him. Only in adulthood did she read all his books, watched the films and realized that she had really come close to him. She said: "". At 23, she returned to the set, and after 5 years finally made her choice in favor of the acting profession - in 1995 she played in two films that brought her popularity and recognition - "American Daughter" by Karen Shakhnazarov and "What a wonderful game »Peter Todorovsky. Since then, Maria Shukshina no longer doubted what she wanted to do in the future.

In the late 1990s. Maria Shukshina came to television and for 15 years remained the host of the "Wait for Me" program. A new cause for discord in the family was the decision of Lydia Fedoseeva-Shukshina to marry Bari Alibasov in 2018. Maria never commented on intra-family conflicts, only once noting that she did not understand the rage with which her sister was fighting for the inheritance, and condemning her for wanting to take away not only property from her mother, but also the memory of her father.

She had to seek help from law enforcement when her second husband, after a divorce, kidnapped their two-year-old son Makar. And the father of her twin sons Thomas and Foka, after their separation, preferred to resolve the issue of custody of the children through court. Once Maria commented on their conflict: "".
