“Glory to the robots! Kill all people! is the slogan of the famous robot Bender from the animated series Futurama. But the problem of the enslavement of mankind by machines does not seem to worry many adherents of the steampunk style. They create more and more new robot models with inspiration.

Englishman Tom Hardwidge draws his inspiration from the world of insects. Unlike his colleagues at Insect Lab, he makes his robotic dragonflies, robotic bugs, and robotic spiders entirely out of metal. The appearance features of the prototype insect are complemented by the characteristic elements of the steampunk style.

As the old pirate Silver said, "It's better to be one-legged than to be lonely."
