London-based designer Cat Davison creates jewelry that can be called musical. No, now her original brooches and earrings do not make any sounds, but the material from which they are made once actually "sang". As you probably already guessed, Kat's jewelry is made from vinyl records.
The Heat The Beat jewelry collection is Kat Davison's thesis at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. It includes three episodes: Underwater Collection, dedicated to dinosaurs (Dinosaur Collection) and musical (Music Collection).
Here is what Kat herself says about her work: “I love expressive jewelry and I believe that all accessories carry a certain meaning and - whenever possible - they can be assigned the status of a work of art. I also believe that jewelry should be fun and sustainable … sometimes there is nothing better than knowing that you have created something beautiful out of something terrible. Most of my jewelry is made from Des O'Conner records. Forgive me Des!"
Cat Davison has been creating jewelry under the Cat Davison Jewelery brand since 2004. According to the designer, her works are "about abundance, playful self-expression and, ultimately, about getting pleasure!" Vinyl isn't the only material Kat works with. She never gets tired of experimenting and creates jewelry out of silver, resin, felt, ribbons, fridge magnets and many other materials that can only fall into the hands of a designer.

Unfortunately, for too long time, in the construction of civilian objects, functionality was brought to the fore. And beauty had to be neglected. That is why there are faceless buildings all over Russia, which, at times, are simply unpleasant to look at. But the situation is gradually changing for the better. New, beautiful structures are being built. And the old ones take on a new look, as happened recently with a technical building in the courtyard of one of the Tyumen schools
"Live" computer game. Angry Birds as a cake decoration
Despite the fact that good triumphs over evil, the popularity of the computer (or mobile phone game) called Angry Birds is steadily growing. So, until recently, the most popular game treats like cupcakes, cakes and cookies were figures from Pacman and Super Mario, today birds and pigs from Angry Birds have also joined this assortment, which will soon be able to outshine their more ancient "competitors". I don't know how about cookies and cakes, but for lovers
Avalanche by Daniel Arsham: auditorium decoration
An avalanche might not be all that bad. It does not have to bury simple skiers or tourists under the snow, it can be a part of beauty, a part of art. This, of course, is not about a real avalanche, but about the installation of the same name by Daniel Arsham called "Avalanche", made by him to decorate a theater in Miami
Dead fly - decoration of the Day of the Dead in Mexico
Giant insects attacking cities is a typical plot of low-budget horror films. Of course, nothing like this can happen in reality, in spite of any radiation and genetic experiments of mad scientists. The only ones who can really create a giant fly or cockroach are artists. For example, Florentijn Hofman
