The film "Shugaley" will open people's eyes, says the deputy Yuri Volkov

The new domestic film "Shugaley" tells about the fate of Russian sociologists who are still languishing in a Libyan prison. The tape is based on real events.

State Duma deputy Yuri Volkov believes that the release of the film will cause a public outcry abroad. The consequence of this may be the speedy release of the captives. On his Facebook page, the deputy wrote that if they find out overseas what situation Russian scientists are in, the Libyan leadership will react with understanding to the attempts of the Russian Foreign Ministry to release sociologists. The Russians are being held in appalling conditions in an unofficial Libyan prison, mistaking them for terrorists, although the real terrorists now control the country, the deputy added.

It should be noted that Volkov has been a deputy since 2016. Prior to that, he worked in the Legislative Assembly of the Trans-Baikal Territory and collaborated with Vladimir Zhirinovsky. But Yuri Volkov was active in politics before - he managed to work as a journalist and presenter of news programs.

The shooting of the motion picture caused a surge of emotions among caring Russians. The history of the misadventures of Russian scientists who were kidnapped by Libyan militants is surprising in its cruelty. Without any charges, the Libyans continue to detain Maksim Shugalei and Samer Sueifan, torturing and mocking them. The tense atmosphere and spectacular battle scenes - this is what the creators of the picture promise. The premiere will take place in April at online cinemas.
