Reginald Kenneth Dwight, aka Elton Hercules John, aka Sir Elton John celebrated his 70th birthday on March 25. His name, according to Rolling Stone magazine, is in the middle of the list of the most influential rock and roll artists of all history.

Fame and popularity came to Elton John pretty quickly. Already in the early 1970s, he recorded hits one after another. He worked with Bernie Taupin, who co-wrote the musician for many years. As a rule, Taupin wrote the lyrics first, and Elton John could write music on it sometimes in just half an hour. He was never afraid of anything, he was proud and independent. In 1976, he publicly announced his bisexuality. For that time, this was not just a scandalous statement, but also a tangible blow to the musician's reputation. But he was able to resist. On February 24, 1998, Elton John was elevated to a knighthood-bachelor's degree and received the title "Sir". The title was awarded for charity.

His work is in demand today no less than 40 years ago. Tickets for Elton John concerts are sold out long and almost instantly.

It is always interesting when two bright personalities meet on stage. Elton John and Lady Gaga sang together in a city parking lot … And it was wonderful!
