In the pre-New Year's chores, we so often forget about certain things, but it is impossible to forget about the main attribute of the New Year - the beautiful Christmas tree, because otherwise there will be no holiday itself. It's just a pity to chop down live Christmas trees, so the designers are competing with each other with might and main, coming up with more and more original ideas for artificial trees. Australian Peter Terren, for example, decided to experiment with electricity, resulting in a Tesla tree.

The Tesla coil is a classic resonant transformer that produces high voltage at high frequency. The first New Year tree from Tesla coils was created by Peter Terren two years ago, in 2007. The attempt was quite successful, and inspired by the positive result, the author decided to repeat the experiment, but on a larger scale. The new tree was supposed to be bigger and more colorful, but the result was beyond expectations.

Peter used a few minutes shutter speed and color filters to capture the spectacular 9m tall tree. In the future, the author plans that the central "trunk" of the tree, that is, the coil, will rotate not only around its axis, but also change its position from vertical to horizontal. This means that the effect will be even more amazing!

Of course, this creative and vibrant tree is not meant to be delivered in the home. And it is not recommended to put gifts under it either. Perhaps admiring colorful photographs, marveling at Peter Terren's ingenuity and wondering what the author will come up with next year.
