The relationship between Stanislav Rostotsky and Vera Menshikova was not simple and cloudless. But their family, which began with an unsuccessful acquaintance, existed for almost half a century, having resisted all life's hardships and problems.

Stanislav Rostotsky was handsome. They rented a house for the summer in order to devote themselves entirely to creativity, without being distracted by any everyday problems.
Nina Menshikova agreed immediately. She did not particularly know how to cook, but the chance to spend almost three months in the company of a young man she liked might not have fallen out anymore.
Stanislav Rostotsky was a lot surprised by her consent, but he connected it with the desire of the future actress to get a role from him later. He was sitting with Krasilshchikov in the car when Nina appeared. Flushed, in a light dress and with large bags filled with groceries.
He soon realized that he was in love with this selfless girl, who was not afraid to go into the wilderness with two men. He did not leave her, showed signs of attention, led long conversations. And then he decided to reveal his secret. In the war, he lost his leg and, despite the constant attention to him from the girls, he was not at all sure that someone would even agree to marry him after learning about his disability.
But how could something have stopped Nina? She was not only in love, she truly loved him. She honestly said that she was ready to live with him all her life.
Dreams Come True
The script was submitted on time, and soon Stanislav Rostotsky and Nina Menshikova became spouses. The onset of Nina's pregnancy frightened the doctors, they began to strongly advise her to give up the desire to have a child. The fact is that childbirth was dangerous for Nina because of her previous tuberculosis. But the actress herself was determined. She dreamed that she would have a happy family and a cozy home. And how can there be happiness without children? And in due time, Nina Menshikova quite happily gave birth to a son, Andryusha. Her dream has come true. The couple were happy.
Nina and Stanislav often had to part. Now he is on a long creative expedition somewhere far away, then she is on the set or on tour. The only connecting thread was letters and telegrams.
Stanislav Rostotsky, as is often the case with creative personalities, was sometimes fond of other women. In a long separation, next to beautiful actresses. Sometimes the hobbies were serious, and he even made the decision to divorce. But then he came home, sat down at the table, called Nina. And he understood that he did not want to go anywhere. Here, next to this woman, he is truly happy.
Sometimes Nina, too, unwittingly gave him a reason for jealousy. No, she herself was not fond of, but they fell in love with her. Having learned that the director with whom she is filming is not indifferent to his wife, Rostotsky went to the set, preparing a treat for the entire creative group. He watered everyone, fed everyone, and in the morning he just took Nina home. He himself took off his wife the only time, in the film "We'll Live Until Monday."
Eternal love
Over the years, it became more and more clear: the main thing in their life is their family, their friends and work. They lived and breathed in unison, understanding each other not even from a half-word - from a half-glance. They never betrayed, never hurt each other, diligently protecting their feelings and their little world, where everyone is warm and comfortable. Nina always remained for him the very girl with whom he once fell in love. However, he himself did not feel his age.
And in August 2001 he was gone. Stanislav Iosifovich went to Vyborg to the "Window to Europe" festival. He felt bad right behind the wheel, he stopped the car, Nina Evgenievna called an ambulance, but the doctors arrived too late. The director's heart stopped beating.
And a year later, during the filming, his son Andrei died. Having lost two of the most important men in her life, Nina Evgenievna held on. She began to live for the sake of Olga's granddaughter and Maryana's daughter-in-law, supporting and helping them.
Nina Evgenievna left in 2007. She played many roles, but the most important and most important she always considered the role of Rostotsky's wife.
