Jesse Tendayi came with her husband to the United States from Zimbabwe 19 years ago. The couple do not have children of their own, but Jesse is sure that her love and care will be enough for everyone who needs her. Since she got a job as a waitress in a small cafe at the hospital, Jesse has been working much more than usual. And all because she knew exactly what she wanted to spend the money she earned.
Last year, Jessie Tendayi spent as much as $ 5,000 on Christmas gifts for children who stayed at the hospital during the holidays. About a thousand books, stuffed toys, educational games, dolls - everything you can think of - appeared in a special children's room at Trinity Hospital in Chicago. The desire to somehow brighten up the life of children in the hospital appeared in Jesse eight years ago, in 2009. Then she bought 100 toys. And later, watching how children rejoice at gifts, how happiness and a desire to fight for their health light up in them, Jesse realized that she wants to continue to delight the kids.
"It brings me joy, it brings joy to children, that's all there is to know," explains Jesse. Naturally, for a simple waitress, the amount of $ 5,000 is quite a lot. To make this money, Jesse works extra shifts all year. The woman does not have children of her own, but she says, "I have children now - and many," meaning the children who rejoice at her Christmas presents.
“It's amazing that someone is wasting their own energy and their time so that other people's children in the hospital can happily celebrate Christmas,” says one of the hospital's patients. Mom, who has been in the hospital with her one-year-old child for more than a month, is also delighted with Jesse's act: "My son just does not leave this room, it is so important for him now - to have ordinary toys to play with, to distract himself. It's just great."
"When you carry that desire in your heart, you never get tired of work. I really like what I do. I love helping other people," says Jesse. The woman adds that she would like to please the children in the hospital not only at Christmas, but all year round. After she was shown on television, Jesse created a charity account where everyone can donate money to help her buy toys for children throughout the year in various hospitals.
Becca Drake is also happy when she manages to help others, but this girl decided devote yourself to caring for pugs … She now has 30 dogs in her care, and all of them also receive wonderful gifts for Christmas.

Brothers-artists Korovin: Two different worldviews, two opposites, two dissimilar destinies
The history of art, mixed with the human factor, has always been full of various mysteries and paradoxical phenomena. For example, in the history of Russian fine arts there were two painters, two siblings who simultaneously studied and graduated from the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Moscow. However, their creativity and worldview were completely different, however, like themselves, they were diametrically opposed both in character and in fate. It's about the Korovin brothers - Konstantin and Sergei
Why "the greatest actor of our day" worked as a shoemaker and how he won a record number of "Oscars": Daniel Day-Lewis
Most often, a sign of the demand for an actor is an extensive filmography, however, Daniel Day-Lewis always chose the latter between quantity and quality, therefore, for almost half a century of his career, he starred in only twenty films. Repeatedly he was going to leave this difficult profession, once he even left for Italy and lived for several years in complete obscurity, working as a shoemaker, until he returned. People and money, people made of money. Art project Big Business from SenseTeam
The Chinese creative agency SenseTeam presented a symbolic art project at the Asia award 2011 exhibition, which consisted of several huge portraits of people. These portraits from afar resembled patchwork, but upon closer inspection, they turned out to be … collages of money, of a variety of currencies. At the exhibition, they appeared under the name Big Business
One million coffee beans. One World, One Family, One Coffee: another mosaic of Saimir Strati
This Albanian maestro, multiple "record holder" for mosaics, Saimir Strati, has already been met by the readers of Culturology.Ru on the pages of the site. It was he who created a painting of 300,000 screws and a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci from nails, and also laid out images from corks and toothpicks. And the new mosaic, on which the author is working today, probably cost him more than one hundred cups of strong aromatic coffee, since he lays it out from a million coffee beans
