Designers don't pamper us with food-related household items so often, but sometimes it happens. Moreover, we are interested in precisely creative things that stand out from the mass that we see on store shelves.
For example, designer Bethan Laura Wood suggested making cups with designs on the bottom. However, when the cup is empty, we cannot see these drawings - this is on purpose. Since the drawings are embossed, they need to be "painted", and what leaves traces on the dishes? And tea, and coffee, and carbonated drinks. We choose our favorite drink and just drink tea and enjoy this process. But I'm afraid that after one tea drinking the drawing will not appear completely, the procedure is long. You just need to drink tea from such a cup every day, and do not try too hard to wash.
And now, after a couple of weeks, maybe a little more, the cup will become not just cute, but very beautiful from the inside. At the bottom we see a really beautiful drawing painted with nothing more than a bloom from tea or coffee. Moreover, it looks much more beautiful than ordinary circles at the bottom, it is almost a masterpiece of modern art. It is interesting that there are not two or three such drawings, you can order and choose any you like. Of course, such a cup will cost "a little" more than the usual one, as much as £ 35. But of course, making such a cup requires a lot of costs, and in general such work and the result costs money.

Beautiful but meaningless art. Painted Cardboard Cups by Paul Westcombe
Probably no one has such a love for takeaway coffee as an artist from Malaysia called Cheeming Boey. If you remember, we once wrote about his drawings on disposable foam cups, which turn from useless garbage into a work of art. And in Great Britain, a young artist Paul Westcombe is engaged in similar creativity, however, his painted cups are made of cardboard
Drawings on disposable cups
If you come to visit Cheeming Boey and ask the owner for water, he will definitely bring you it in a painted disposable foam cup. Well, when you get drunk, you will definitely notice that such cups are everywhere in the Boi house, because the owner is an artist, only instead of a brush he uses an ordinary black marker, and instead of a canvas - yes, yes, the surface of these same cups

Without plates and cups: "Bank" - an original thematic cafe in Kiev
The tradition of taking a thermos with you to work, on a sortie or on the road is ineradicable in a Russian person. What a pleasure it is to get homemade food at lunchtime, because what could be tastier than a proper sandwich with a jar of borscht? However, with the emergence of a huge number of canteens, cafes and restaurants, the opportunity to feel "at home" is diminishing. True, recently an excellent thematic institution has opened in Kiev - the "Bank" fan-bar. The concept is simple: instead of plates, glasses and cups here
Graffiti from colored cups on a mesh fence. Art project of the Multistab studio
Estonian design duo Multistab has taken a completely new approach to creating street art, in particular, street art on fences, but without the use of appliqués and paint cans. The guys "master" exclusively mesh metal fences, and decorate them with pictures made exclusively from … multi-colored plastic cups. The result is something that resembles a mosaic, where each cup is a pixel, only large and on the fence
