In Japanese mythology, there is a legend about Hoichi Bezuchom, a blind musician who lived at a monastery. He sang so beautifully that the ghosts of the courtiers of the past wanted to take his life with them, and to protect their comrade, the monks painted Hoichi's body with sacred letters that made him invisible to spirits. And only one thing they forgot - about the musician's ears. The ghosts took this part of the body with them. An art project called Ten-ten by a young Japanese artist Miharu matsunaga is somewhat reminiscent of this legend. Only instead of mysterious ancient symbols, the artist paints people and objects around dots of different sizes and colors … However, all these are just associations. In fact, the Ten-Ten art project was conceived in a completely different way: to illustrate the obvious connection between a man and a woman, an adult and a child, people of different ages and nationalities. All of us, no matter how far from each other, we are all one. So Miharu Matsunaga decided to lead hundreds of points through the human body, like a thread that unites us. By this he seems to want to say that we are one huge painting.
The author also emphasizes the connection between a person and his objects, as well as objects - with other objects. Perhaps such a philosophical, thoughtful subtext does not lie on the surface, but even without it, the Ten-Ten art project, which, by the way, is translated from Japanese as "dots", looks very original, and even mysterious.
All these points - laconic and capacious - look very Japanese, in the spirit of traditional minimalism. It doesn't matter whether it is body painting, or interior decoration, car tuning or street art … Other works of the young artist can be seen on his website.
