Paper is a versatile material! You can write on it, you can print on it, it can be used as a packing material, as an insulator, as a filter, it can be glued to walls, you can make all sorts of crafts from it, such as appliqués and origami, with it, in the end, you can go to toilet. And the artist Jonathan Brand created from paper an exact full-size copy of the car Ford Mustang 1969th year of release!
In May of this year, we told you about the paper car Audi A7, which was created a year before the release of a real car of this model. True, it was created with dimensions of only 1 meter 30 centimeters, which is much smaller than a real car. But American artist Jonathan Brand has built a full-size paper version of a 1969 Ford Mustang!
Moreover, the work of Jonathan Brand resembles a Ford Mustang not only externally, but also internally. After all, it has wheels, an engine, a dashboard, and much more that a real car has. Every detail of a real car received its own paper counterpart!
The brand called this unusual project “One piece at a time”, which refers us to the song of the same name by Johnny Cash, which tells about a worker from the Cadillac car factory who steals one part from production every day. hoping to build his own car at home in the future.
So Jonathan Brand, day after day, diligently created the paper parts of his future paper car Ford Mustang 1969 release. To begin with, however, he created a general model of the car using a computer, then wrote a special algorithm to create a paper "pattern" of individual parts, and only then began to print this "pattern", glue the pieces of the car and join them together.
According to the statement of Jonathan Brand himself, he thus created the most complex and large-scale puzzle in the world, which he himself must solve. And folded it!
Jonathan Brand's paper Ford Mustang will be on display throughout October at the Hosfelt Gallery in Manhattan, New York.

How artists of the past talked about higher matters: Justice, vanity, the running of time and not only in allegorical images
The great ability of fine art to show the invisible to the eye is primarily about allegories. How to write power on canvas? Running time? Justice? Hopelessness? How to display the artist's worldview without using words, but resorting only to the possibilities that brushes and paints give? Allegories are usually addressed to viewers who own a certain level of knowledge or are ready to receive this knowledge, because many allegories are based on elements of mythology, philosophy, history of art
Installations by Florentin Hoffmann: Size Matters
Dutchman Florentijn Hofman believes that the bigger the objects, the better they are. If the thing is in its normal size, that's fine, but much more interesting if it is huge. Maybe the installations by Florentin Hoffmann do not pretend to be in line with the masterpieces of world art, but they, without a doubt, cause surprise, a smile and make the world at least a little more fun
