Welcome to the new video from the Red Bull Off The Planet project, in which sport and art merged in a breathtaking performance.
For the filming of the show, which took place on Mammoth Mountain in Australia, Red Bull invited the Melbourne visuals ENESS and athletes from the Unbound crew. The "stage" was two snow jumps and a huge inflatable ball with a diameter of 6.5 meters placed between them. Using 3D-mapping technology, various images were projected onto the jumps and the ball, while experienced skiers and snowboarders showed their best tricks on the jumps.
The movements of each athlete were monitored by infrared cameras, so that the projected images were not "in themselves", but "matched" with the actions of snowboarders and skiers. Athletes flew over the Earth, over a huge eyeball, over a stellar galaxy, over the waves of the ocean … Without exaggeration, the show turned out to be enchanting.
