Stylish boards from Kristiana Parn

Funny animals that ride on a swing, climb trees or just sleep in a burrow - this is what Kristiana Parn draws. Of course, this is not high art, and the artist did not invent any new complex ways to create her works, but these boards look cute and stylish, and on the eve of autumn, these drawn kids seem especially charming.

Kristiana Parn paints the boards with acrylic paint (it is usually painted on T-shirts), this allows both to preserve the visible structure of the tree and to make the paint look more unusual, in the finished form the boards have a beautiful matte shade. Christiana also puts her designs on T-shirts, which makes things very cute and stylish, and a recently released book with her illustrations can be a great gift for any occasion.

Now the artist lives and works in New York, but she was born in Estonia. She began her career at the age of seventeen, becoming a student of the rather famous illustrator Marje Berlokko. After graduating from high school, Christiana moved to the United States to study animation at The School of Visual Arts. Since 2005, she has worked hard, mainly in the textile design industry, and has proven herself in many Manhattan studios.

Kristiana Parn recently opened her own studio in Brooklyn, where she creates her original work for New York galleries and clients. She also recently launched a line of postcards with her prints, this is a pleasure, though not cheap, one postcard on the Internet costs as much as twenty dollars. In addition to working with animals, Christiana has a lot of other projects, for example, she paints beautifully with watercolors and creates advertising projects.

Kristiana Parn's work is somewhat reminiscent of what Johan Thornqvist does, but his work is more urbanized, while Christiana prefers to portray animals. Probably, if you combine their work, you will get a wonderful calm harmonious world, where good people live in magical cities, and fluffy animals frolic peacefully in the forests and fields.
