She entered the film studies faculty of VGIK, but she was not destined to become a film critic either: Tatyana already knew the filming process from the inside, understood how much effort they put into working on films, and therefore did not want to criticize directors and actors.
When Tatyana Protsenko graduated from VGIK in 1992, Rolan Bykov called her and offered to become an editor at the television studio of the Fund for the Development of Film and Television for Children and Youth. She prepared several programs, but they never went on the air. And in 1998, Bykov died. No one was interested in children's cinema and television anymore, mass layoffs began at the television studio, and a protracted period of crisis began. The profession had to change again, and then Tatiana took up computer layout and design. She worked as a layout artist for the Business Match magazine, a designer of attributes for the Moscow Sports Committee, a layout artist for the Komus printing company, and senior editor for the People's Planet magazine.
