The actors behave so nicely at the presentations of their works, talk about friendship and harmony in the team, that it seems that peace and order reigned on the set. Meanwhile, this is just a PR move, and relationships in the process of work often do not develop so rosy. Today we want to recall the loudest scandals that have ever occurred on the set, and you decide whether the films suffered from these squabbles.

Have you seen this actor in the action movie Predator? Meanwhile, he starred in this film. But not for long. In those days, the muscular Belgian was little known - in his arsenal there was a small role in the film "Do not retreat, do not give up", so the actor agreed to any job that paid well. But when he was shown the uncomfortable costume of a monster from space and told that it was necessary to work in it in the hot Mexican jungle, the actor's enthusiasm noticeably diminished. Throughout the first week of filming, he annoyed colleagues with complaints about his outfit, clashed with stuntmen. In turn, the creators of the action movie were perplexed: how the casting managers overlooked that an antihero with a height of 177 cm would look very unconvincing against Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose height was measured at 188 cm.

But they managed to reach the boiling point when filming a scene where the Predator, performed by Van Damme, had to jump from a tall tree. The actor understood that the likelihood of injury is very high, but it is very difficult to build a further career in action movies with an injured arm or leg. Therefore, he began to insist on attracting a stuntman. The director reasonably objected that the actor is the same stuntman. Then the uncompromising producer Joel Silver, who had already heard about complaints, intervened and fired Van Damme without paying the actor a penny. By the way, later the director tried to dress the monkey for this trick, but it turned out to be very uncontrollable. Well, the stuntman really broke his ankle. But for the role of the monster, a former basketball player was selected - with his height of 220 cm, he perfectly fit into the idea of the film.

Stanley Kubrick - Matthew Modine

Of course, everyone has heard about the cosmic perfectionism of the famous director, but he surpassed himself in the filming of "Full Metal Shell". He managed not only to turn the whole team against himself, but also to quarrel among many of its members. And all because of the desire to bring the shooting conditions closer to the most real. His "recruits" had to portray soldiers almost 24 hours a day, since any little thing that the director did not like could lead to reshoots, and so on countless times. People just didn't get enough sleep. And Stanley Kubrick himself, completely surrendering to the process, even refused to come to his parents' funeral. He demanded the same selfless labor from his subordinates. Matthew Modine, who played the main role in the film, managed to fall in love, get married while working on the film, and his wife became pregnant and gave birth to a child. To support his spouse during childbirth, Modine was forced to go to the trick. He told the director that if he did not let him go, he would be forced to arrange self-mutilation - and this, as you know, would significantly delay the shooting.

And the director managed to cause real hostility between his friends - Modine and Vincent D'Onofrio, who specially gained 32 kg before filming in order to become obese and clumsy. Modine even wrote in his diary that his comrade is incredibly annoying and sometimes he wants to crack. This is exactly what Kubrick wanted - soon the scene of the beating of "Homer Kucha's dumbass", played by Vincent, was to be filmed. In general, the director managed to annoy everyone, and once the wards found a way of revenge. When Stanley went out of necessity, he was locked in a dry closet. Unable to call, he was forced to call for help by radio. The director chose the words, so much so that no one could guess about his spicy place of imprisonment. This story amused the whole team for a long time, becoming the source of numerous jokes.

Leonid Gaidai - Evgeny Morgunov

Everyone, of course, remembers the big guy Experienced - a very successful comedic character, nevertheless, after filming in "Prisoner of the Caucasus", he no longer starred with Gaidai. And the whole point is that the actor "starred". Once, after a shooting day, the director was looking through the footage of the footage in the cinema, as unpleasant comments were heard from the back rows. It was Morgunov, in the company of drunken girls, having fun, calling the master of Soviet comedy a hack. Of course, the director did not leave it that way, and cut out all the secondary shots from the film with Experienced.

The film did not suffer much from this, but the further career of the rowdy actor began to decline. In addition, Yevgeny Morgunov managed to annoy Yuri Nikulin. After an unsuccessful rally, the actor was offended and forbade Morgunov to enter the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. Nikulin expressed his decision with the words: "We have enough of our own clowns."

Marlon Brando - Robert Duvall, James Caan

It is customary to joke among the actors, but what the young actors arranged for the master of cinema went beyond the bounds of decency. Having learned that in "The Godfather" they will have to play with the willful and famous for his antics Brando, they decided … to kick ass in every episode with his participation. This was first done by James Caan and Robert Duvall, who were already returning home after the first filming and suddenly accidentally saw the car of the venerable actor. James spontaneously pulled down his jeans and bared his buttocks. According to friends, he "was just dumbfounded." They decided to continue the entertainment, and already at rehearsals and even at the time of filming, the actors, seizing the moment, took off their pants. Even Al Pacino succumbed to the temptation to become a member of the "naked-ass club", once during the filming he freed himself from his trousers under the table and stepped out into the light with a solemn air.

It is noteworthy that the director tried not to notice this childishness - the young Francis Ford Coppola was only concerned with how not to fly out of the project himself, because everyone was sure that the film would surely be a failure. Everyone was waiting for this "kindergarten" to infuriate Marlon Brando on the set of a serious film. But he, too, did not seem to notice anything unusual. In fact, the eminent actor was waiting for a chance. And then on the 44th day of filming, he came: work was carried out on the scenes of the wedding. During the "family" photo, Brando, unexpectedly for everyone, turned around and bared his ass. Not only young actors fell into the sediment, but 500 extras. Since then, Marlon has been accepted into the creative team, and Duvall and Caan, after finishing work on the film, presented him with a belt engraved with "Champion's Ass". Now, many years later, the actors continue to be friends and warmly remember the joint shootings.
