What tricks our contemporary artists do not go to in order to surprise and conquer their viewer. Today in our review is a gallery of works by a young master Pavel Bondar from the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, who uses various food products as a palette. It seems that in the person of our readers, the artist will gain many admirers of his work. After all, how skillful and believable are the images of the famous and famous performed by the master of food art.

The artist Pavel Bondar is actually known to many. And he became famous for the fact that he began to depict images of media personalities with the help of food. By education, Pavel is an economist, but while still a university student, he realized that he only wanted to be an artist. At first he made sketches, later portraits of his friends appeared. So, step by step, he connected his life with art, and at the moment he no longer sees himself outside this profession. Moreover, the artist strives for individuality and is looking for unusual visual means. Paul's colors are not only chocolate, wine or coffee, but even such unexpected materials for this business: spices, tea and bread.

The artist, possessing an inexhaustible supply of inspiration, has already created dozens of portraits of famous personalities using his technology. It is the products, like nothing else, according to the artist, that give him the opportunity to more accurately express the emotional world of a person. Moreover, the viewer, contemplating this or that portrait, feels it very subtly. Because he clearly knows the taste of products, their smell, color, beneficial effect, or vice versa.

There is one more nuance in this technique. Looking at the artist's work, everyone will certainly have a question: how to keep such short-lived paintings. Pavel Bondar very lucidly explains that if the picture "deteriorates", he can easily recreate its complete copy. Well, if the work is prepared to order and will hang on the wall for several years, then he makes a complete imitation with acrylic paints. That is, it completely repeats the appearance, creating a kind of dummy of the original picture. In addition, some works can be coated with food grade varnish and this will ensure their safety for many years.

"Tasty faces" - a new art project by Pavel Bondar

Several years ago in Germany, in the city of Cologne, a personal exhibition of the author was held, where 25 paintings were exhibited, made in a mixed technique from three components - chocolate, coffee and wine. The exposition, of course, was a great success and inspired the master to search for new ingredients for his food art. And quite recently, the artist presented to the audience a new art project "Tasty Faces", where he significantly expanded the range of ingredients used.

It is curious that he selects a kind of palette, taking into account the nature and essence of a particular famous person. For example, US President Donald Trump is bitter like dill, and singer Lady Gaga is sweet like a banana with a light taste of kiwi and pomegranate seeds.

Among his most recent works is the image of Italian President Sergio Mattarella made of pasta and tomato sauce. Thanks to the flexibility of the cooked spaghetti, the author managed to flawlessly bring out the lines and curves, and the presence of a bright, red sauce emphasized the accents and facial features of the president, who is an ardent supporter of his homeland, loves to travel around its territory, appreciates works of art and, of course, Italian cuisine.

Continuing work on a series of paintings "Tasty Faces" Pavel Bondar never ceases to amaze his fans with a completely non-standard approach to contemporary art. The image of the young Spanish leader Pedro Sanchez is a vivid confirmation of this. And the viewer can only decipher what the master of food art wanted to say.

The image of Pedro Sanchez is the embodiment of Spain as a whole. This is cloudless clear weather, luscious colorful natural landscape and naturalness inherent in the Spaniards. In addition, it is known that Pedro Sanchez himself adheres to a healthy lifestyle, adores sports, is open to communication with people and prefers vegetables and herbs in his diet.

Portrait of the Queen of England

The next portrait of the series was the image of Queen Elizabeth II of England, made with only one oatmeal. All the severity, nobility and sophistication of a person of royal origin is reflected in many shades of just two colors. Everyone knows that almost every Englishman, including the queen, prefers oatmeal for breakfast. ""

The portrait of the Queen of England has become a kind of symbol of creativity available to everyone - you just have to look at the things we are used to and believe in yourself. Then even the most ordinary oatmeal can serve as a prototype for depicting the character of an entire nation.
