Constance Weber and Wolfgang Mozart were released only 9 years of family happiness. She was accused of mismanagement, wastefulness, frivolity, even in collusion with her husband's ill-wishers. But all this is speculation and guesswork. The truth is that Mozart was happy with this woman.
Wolfgang Mozart
Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 in the family of a talented musician and teacher.
Of the seven children of the Mozarts, only Wolfgang himself and his older sister Maria Anna, affectionately called Nannerl, survived. She began playing the harpsichord at the age of eight. The father of the family was very surprised when his son, who had not yet reached the age of four, was able to unmistakably reproduce the pieces that his older sister had learned by ear. The first concert tour of Wolfgang and Maria Anna in 1762 was a stunning success.
A year later, the family went on another concert trip, which was to end in Paris. But the tour lasted for three and a half years due to the unprecedented popularity of concerts.
Further, there will be a long way to perfection when Wolfgang studies for a long time and persistently, simultaneously giving concerts and writing. The trip to Italy was interrupted by a forced return to Salzburg, from where the young composer managed to leave only five years later. He headed to Paris via Munich and Mannheim. On the trip, the composer is accompanied by his mother, Anna Maria.
The first love
In Mannheim, he met Aloise Weber, who captivated him, firstly, with her voice and only secondly with her beauty.
The musician and composer, writing mature, truly brilliant works, was interesting to young Aloise. Thanks to him, she could make a completely successful opera career. Mozart is in love and is ready to do anything for the sake of his beloved. He only dreams of Aloise becoming his wife. But Leopold Mozart was adamant: there can be no question of any marriage. The son had to go to Paris and succeed there.
Paris received the young genius quite coolly. He could not get a job, but he survived the hardest blow: his mother died in his arms. And to complete all the misfortunes, he learned that his beloved did not need him at all. She got married.
Mozart is back in Salzburg, where he has to endure humiliation from the archbishop, unable to leave the city. When Wolfgang was pushed down the stairs by Count Arko, the offended composer leaves for Vienna.
Constance Weber
In Vienna, he settles in the house of Madame Weber, the mother of his first beloved Aloise. After the death of the head of the family, she moved to Vienna with her two youngest girls and began to rent rooms with full board in order to ensure the existence of herself and her daughters.
Amadeus was already familiar with Constance and Sophie Weber, but then all his aspirations were associated with Aloise. This time Constance was destined to become the confidante of the composer's thoughts.
Now, of course, it is difficult to reconstruct how events actually developed. According to some reports, Mozart wanted to save Constance from her mother's attacks, according to others, the girl's mother dreamed of marrying her daughter to a famous musician. It is known for certain that Leopold Mozart was categorically against the marriage of his son to Constance Weber and for a long time did not respond to his letters asking for a blessing.
Meanwhile, Cecilia Weber tricked Mozart into signing a marriage pledge in which Amadeus promises to marry Constance within three years. To the girl's credit, upon learning about this paper, she immediately tore it up, which finally melted the musician's heart.
On August 4, 1782, at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart became the husband of Constance Weber. The father's blessing was only one day late. During the wedding, the newlyweds cried with happiness.
Carefree happiness
They were really happy, Wolfgang Mozart and his young wife. They enjoyed this happiness, rejoiced in it, did not care about anything. They immediately let the money that came along, then they lived in poverty, and when new fees appeared, they again spent it all carelessly at once.
Art critics accuse Constance, calling her frivolous and careless in her business. But they forget that Constance completely adjusted to her husband's lifestyle and met his expectations. In separation, he wrote touching letters to her, did not skimp on affectionate words and most of all dreamed of finding himself in her arms as soon as possible. In the family for 9 years 6 children were born, but only two survived.
And yet life was beautiful …
When his wife was sick, Mozart was caring, gentle and patient. After that, he sent his wife to Baden for treatment and asked her to love him as forever as he loves himself.
She knew all his works by heart, easily sang all the female parts. At the premiere of the opera Die Zauberflöte in September 1791, he was already exhausted and did not feel well. Moreover, he foresaw his own death and felt its merciless approach.
On December 5, 1791, at 4 o'clock in the morning, the composer's heart stopped. Constanta visited her husband's grave only 17 years later, accompanied by her second spouse, diplomat Georg Nissen.
They were given too little time for happiness, Mozart and his Constance. 15 years of earthly paradise were allotted.
