Video: 12 Russian stars who coolly recreated famous works of art in self-isolation at home
2024 Author: Richard Flannagan | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-12-15 23:55
In the days of self-isolation, Russians locked up in their apartments entertain themselves as best they can. If for some fun is cutting bangs and swimming in noodles on their own, while others are looking for entertainment in more familiar areas of art. And even closed museums, exhibitions and the lack of cultural events do not scare them. Moreover, there is always the Internet and your own imagination at hand.
Konstantin Khabensky as a Bedouin
The founder of the Charitable Foundation Konstantin Khabensky was one of the first to join the action #charity, acting as part of the popular network project "Isolation" and posted his version of the painting by Konstantin Makovsky "Bedouin". According to Khabensky, the most difficult thing was to choose a picture, and only then he "gave himself the opportunity to misbehave," putting the hero of a famous picture in circumstances possible in self-isolation mode.
A block of towels, a bathrobe and a shower completed the look, the beard was already in stock. Subscribers immediately noted the similarity of the views of the picture hero with the photographed one. Perhaps the point is in the professionalism of Khabensky as an actor, and it cost him nothing to reincarnate as a nomad from the picture, being locked in self-isolation.
Elena Sigalova at the "Portrait of Jeanne Hébuterne in Dark Clothes" by Modigliani
Rock star Elena Sigalova, with her participation in the art flash mob, confirmed the theory that a talented person is talented in everything. Her work on the 1918 painting by Amedeo Modigliani "Portrait of Jeanne Hébuterne in Dark Clothes" turned out to be very successful not only in the opinion of her devoted fans, but also in the estimates of an unbiased public.
Elena said that during self-isolation she did not feel very well and could not play the guitar, so a new opportunity to realize her creative energy was very useful for her.
Anatoly Bely tried on the image of Pierrot
Actor Anatoly Bely brought to life Andre Gilles' Pierrot the Thief. Khabensky's colleague approached the process creatively, having gathered for this a whole theatrical troupe. His wife Inessa acted as a director and ideological inspirer; neighbors were involved as a photographer and costume designer. The crayfish floating in the vase was specially commissioned for filming. Anatoly Bely not only presented his vision of the picture, but also slightly renamed it, making it more suitable for the modern situation: “Pierrot. A month of self-isolation. By the way, the props in the form of crayfish were eaten after filming - jokes are jokes, but self-isolation lasts almost a month.
The family of football player Kerzhakov cosplays music album covers
Alexander Kerzhakov came up with his own direction and recreates the covers of the legendary music albums. It all started with the fact that his son came up with different images for the video. A football player joined the process, and they decided to shoot a video about how the younger Kerzhakov takes out the trash. Everything was in order to remember the cover of The Beatles. The family had enough time, no one was around, so they drew a pedestrian crossing, moved the trash can and joined the legend. The ex-Zenit's subscribers liked the picture, and since then such photos have become regular.
The collection of Kerzhakov's parodies already contains the covers of the legendary albums: “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Definitely & Maybe”, “Marshall Bruce Mathers III”, “Light My Fire-The very best of The Doors”.
Alexander Kerzhakov repeated the portrait of Frida Kahlo
During self-isolation, Kerzhakov proved to be not only a good team player, but also distinguished himself in the individual competition, recreating one of the portraits of the famous Frida Kahlo.
For his solo work, Alexander, in a creative impulse, scattered all the black laces on the floor from all the boots and boots that he found at his home. It's not hair, of course, but it looks quite similar in the photo. The second major feat was the unibrow, which appeared on Alexander's face with the help of female mascara.
When the portrait was ready, and the creative impulse dried up, it became clear that the laces would still have to be inserted back into the shoes, and no one in the family remembered which laces from which pair …
Star of the "Ural dumplings" riding a stationary bike
Ksenia Korneva recreated Karl Bryullov's painting "Horsemen". If there were no problems with the dress and the image of the rider herself, then the girl had no horse in the apartment. His role is successfully performed by an exercise bike, which, according to her, she ordered specifically for the picture.
The original painting is in the Tretyakov Gallery, the entrance to which is also closed during self-isolation. Despite the fact that experts do not find any similarities between the horsewoman and Countess Samoilova, who, according to the official version, is depicted in the picture, Ksenia Korneva managed to catch the same sparkle in her eyes. It is because of such a detailed drawing of the countess's image that many suspected more than a close relationship between Samoilova and Bryullov.
Vasily Vakulenko, aka Basta, in the image of Che Guevara
Vasily Vakulenko did not stand aside and supported #charity Khabensky Foundation. Probably Baste is close to the military theme, it's not for nothing that his hands are decorated with tattoos in the form of protection from elbow pads from combat armor. Therefore, it is not surprising that for his image Vasily chose a portrait of the famous revolutionary Che Guevara.
The original portrait was taken 60 years ago in 1960 by Cuban photographer Alberto Corda, but the most famous version of this portrait came later in 1967 when the Cuban revolutionary died.
Since Vasily, together with his wife, a volunteer of the Foundation Elena Pinskaya, self-isolated at the dacha, there they found everything they needed for cosplay: a shirt, a wig and a beret with a star. The result is an interesting and colorful version of "Guerrillero Heroico" (Heroic Partisan).
Sergei Bezrukov in the image of Prince Yusupov with a dog
Many influential nobles at the beginning of the 20th century ordered works from the artist Valentin Serov, but he always singled out the Yusupov family separately, respectfully speaking of the prince and princess as sensitive and even amiable people. This is probably why the portraits written for the Yusupovs are considered almost the best such works by the artist, and the portrait of the youngest of the Yusupovs - Felix Sumarokov-Elston - is called by many experts the best of the best.
Sergei Bezrukov does not disclose the reasons why he chose the "Portrait of Count FF Sumarokov-Elston, later Prince Yusupov, with a dog." However, Sergey succeeded in this work, it was not in vain that she collected more than thirteen thousand likes on Facebook.
Irina Bezrukova: "Don't talk!"
Irina Bezrukova, Sergei's ex-wife, also took part in a charity event of the Khabensky Foundation. The actress has recreated the iconic Soviet poster "Don't talk!" It is difficult to say what Irina meant when she chose a poster created by artists Nina Vatolina and Nikolai Denisov in 1941. The original Soviet work called on the citizens of the USSR to watch their words and to less publicly disseminate information that is important for the Motherland. Maybe in this way Irina Bezrukova reminds viewers of the Russian law on criminal punishment for fakes about coronavirus?
Separately, we note that the actress applied all the makeup herself in front of the mirror, about which she even shot a step-by-step video, causing a storm of approving comments among her fans.
Alexander Tsypkin: "You will meet Covid, do not kill, he is mine … and my hands too!"
The action of the Khabensky Foundation was supported by the writer and Internet activist Alexander Tsypkin, who repeated a frame from the famous film "White Sun of the Desert" directed by Vladimir Motyl. As a real writer, Alexander tried to go beyond the usual cosplay, putting as many as six (!) Hidden meanings into his work.
One of the heroes of the film is the terrible criminal Javded, who has never been shown in the frame, but about whom everyone knows that he kills people. Alexander Tsypkin saw this as a reference to the current situation with the epidemic. Although the film does not show the fate of Javded, looking at the brave Said, including the one played by Alexander, none of the audience doubts that the villain will get what he deserves.
We suggest you find the other five hidden meanings in the work of Aleksandar Tsypkin yourself.
Nana Mushtakova - "The Swan Princess", "Faithful" and "Vienna Beauty"
Young acting talents also keep up with their more famous colleagues. Nana Mushtakova, remembered by the audience for the popular TV series of the TNT channel, posted on her blog as many as three works based on famous female portraits of the 19th century.
Tulle, duvet cover, fruit basket and household material for the beds were enough for Nana to amazingly accurately reproduce the work of the Italian artist Eugene de Blaas "The Viennese beauty".
"The Swan Princess" by Mikhail Vrubel was talentedly recreated using plastic wrap.
It is difficult to take your eyes off the beautiful "Oriental Beauty" by the French orientalist artist Emile Leconte-Vernet, you also want to admire Nana Mushtakova in this image.
Elena Kayadzhi - "Girl with a Pearl Earring", "Grace" and "Golden Tears"
A musical theater actress from St. Petersburg was so imbued with the idea of an art project that she has already recreated seven famous works of art in her blog. It should be noted that Elena Kayadzhi approached the process very boldly, choosing bright works in a variety of styles.
Among the most successful works by Elena Kayadzhi, fans singled out cosplay for the picture of the Dutch artist-painter of the 17th century Jan Vermeer "Girl with a Pearl Earring".
The painting "Grace" by Lauri Blank always attracts the eyes of art lovers, but Elena Kayaji's version turned out to be no less interesting. Fans appreciated the efforts of the actress with many positive reviews and likes.
Unlike most other works that are recreated by other participants in the art project, the painting by the French artist Anna-Marie Zilberman "Golden Tears" was written in 2019. The recognizable style of Gustav Klimt did not leave indifferent, first the artist herself, and then Elena Kayadzhi. The result was a very sensual work that the audience liked.
In fairness, it should be said that the stars on home mode do not only create. You can find out what Russian celebrities do in self-isolation if you look fresh photos from Instagram stars.
