We all have moments in life when loneliness is needed. Without moments of silence and solitudemy life would be deprived of an impressive part of its beauty. What kind of beauty? This question will be answered by the French photographer Julie de Waroquie, in whose works a person achieves unity either with himself or with the nature around him.
Julie de Waroquie is a Lyon-based photographer and has her own creative philosophy. She likes the contradiction that is automatically inherent in the very concept of photography, connected with the fact that, being a complete copy of reality, every shot, every a moment of solitude Is experiment and creativity. That is why half of her works are examples of stunningly beautiful surrealism. Julie de Waroquie tries to get away from reality in her works, to retire in other worlds, just as the heroes of her photographs do.
We recently wrote about a photographer with a similar concept: Martin Stranka, whose photographs are filled with loneliness and sadness. Many of Julie de Waroquie's works also seem to be extremes, but mostly this is quite a good solitude, much needed moments of silence.
By the way, Julie de Waroquie herself does not like it when her works are silent. She wants to create in them such worlds that no one has ever seen, she wants people from them not to withdraw into themselves and tell the viewer something important.
