The native Muscovite Maria Kozhevnikova was born in 1984 in the family of Alexander Viktorovich Kozhevnikov, a famous hockey player, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, and two-time champion who played at different times for Moscow Spartak and Wings of the Soviets. Masha's mom is an English teacher, Margarita Kozhevnikova. Grandfather - Major General Valentin Nikolaevich Trofimov (1923-2013).
In her childhood, the girl was actively involved in rhythmic gymnastics. She also studied roughly in school and studied vocals in the studio. While still very young, Kozhevnikova probably knew that she would become an actress. Literally a year later, the lovers applied to the registry office, but the wedding never took place. Maria could not withstand unreasonable jealousy on the part of the chosen one. Disappointed in this relationship, the girl tore them up.
Later, the actress had other fleeting novels and hobbies that did not bring her the desired happiness. Only later, when she began to meet with businessman Yevgeny Vasiliev, Maria realized that, it turns out, a relationship is possible when people love both for their advantages and disadvantages and do not try to re-educate each other.

In 2015, a 4-episode series Battalion was released on the screens of the country, where Kozhevnikova played one of the main roles. The events of this film take place during the First World War. Her heroine is Countess Natalya Tatishcheva, a bright and memorable character. For filming in this film, the actress had to shave her head, as, indeed, other actresses taking part in this project.
Curiously, the original role assigned to Mary was much larger. But during the preparation for the project, it turned out that Kozhevnikova was pregnant with her first child. And she had to be removed from the scenes of military battles, which required serious physical activity. Her heroine appeared only at the end of the film, when her son Vanya was already born.
