Mikhail Zadornov knew and loved, without exaggeration, the whole country. He went on stage and conquered multimillion-dollar halls from the very first words, and whole families watched the comedian's performances on TV, and then quoted. He seemed an incredibly light person, but this impression was very deceiving. The relatives of Mikhail Nikolaevich still claim that he was extremely closed and very difficult. And many facts from the biography of Mikhail Zadornov became known to the general public after his departure.
The secret of the second marriage
Mikhail Zadornov has been in love with Velta Kalnberzin since childhood. Moreover, they were born in the same maternity hospital, with a difference of five days. At first, mother Velta did not have milk and Elena Melkhiorovna helped to feed the baby. In fact, they have been around since the very first days of life. And when Mikhail Zadornov entered the Riga Aviation Institute, Velta became a student at a Moscow university.
It was for her that Mikhail went to the capital as a result. She was his princess, his dream, friend and closest person. All my life, until the very last day. Yet he came one day and asked her for a divorce. It is quite difficult to believe in this, but in his heart there was a place for two women at once. One was always with him, without her he could not imagine life. And the second …
Elena Bombina met an already famous comedian thanks to her friend. She was 16 years younger than Mikhail Zadornov, was a longtime fan of the actor's work and, in fact, his student. He helped her in life, hired her as an administrator and fell in love as a result. But he did not want to leave his wife, torn between two beloved women. And then the comedian's daughter Elena was born, named after the mother of Mikhail Nikolaevich.
Perhaps the comedian would continue to hide his second family, but problems in relations with his growing daughter forced Mikhail Zadornov to make a difficult decision for himself. He came to Velta Yanovna and asked for a divorce. He explained: his daughter is offended by him because he does not live with her and her mother. And his daughter was the dearest person in the world for him. He married Elena Bombina, but asked her not to tell anyone that she was his legal wife. For everyone, Velta was to remain his wife.
He suffered until the end of his days, realizing the pain he inflicted on the woman who had been with him for many years. But she remained forever his friend and advisor. In the last days of Mikhail Zadornov's life, both women dear to him were next to him: Velta and Elena. Two wives, two loves. Each of which he caused incredible pain that he could not belong to one without a trace.
Long prediction
When Mikhail Zadornov just entered the orbit of fame, he was introduced to a psychic woman. She said that the humorist will have a tumor in the future, but it will turn out to be benign. At that moment, Mikhail Nikolaevich did not particularly believe the fortuneteller. It seemed that now, when he became famous, everything in his life had just begun to work out.
He remembered the prediction of the psychic Zadornov only in 2016, when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At first, he refused to believe in what was happening and more and more often recalled the words about a benign neoplasm told to him many years ago. But the test results left him no hope. At first, the satirist wanted to refuse treatment, but his family and friends were able to convince him of the need for a course of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, after the established diagnosis, Mikhail Nikolayevich lived for only a year.
Mercy over justice
Mikhail Zadornov was actually a very closed person, and in the last years of his life he loved loneliness. He came to his country house in Jurmala to take a break from work, keep quiet and put his own thoughts in order. Even accepting friends on his site, he never left anyone to spend the night - this was a rule that he strictly followed. There was another law in his life: to help people. At the same time, it was necessary to help so that they did not write about it in magazines and did not talk about it from TV screens.
It was he who initiated the creation of the Russian Library in Riga, and he was the first to bring there his unique collection of books, which his father had begun to collect. It was in memory of him that he decided, after consulting with his sister Lyudmila, to open a library. Later he turned to the residents with a request for help in the formation of the book fund. For many years, the library was located in a building that belonged to Zadornov. Only when the satirist needed huge sums for treatment, he was forced to sell the premises. But the library still exists today, although now it is located in a different building.
And the warmth and care of Mikhail Zadornov will be remembered for many years by the actors of the Riga Youth Theater "OSA". He himself agreed with the Yaroslavl Institute that talented actors from Riga could study there in absentia, come to sessions and take exams. He also supported the students financially, and helped the theater not only with the repertoire, but also with the decorations, interiors, costumes, makeup and posters. He cared about everything, even the poorly lit staircase leading to the auditorium, for which he himself bought a chandelier, and an amazing clock going in the opposite direction for the living room.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, when there was a period of oppression of the Russian-speaking population in the Baltics, including Latvia, he rushed to help those who most needed his participation: the elderly. And at his own expense he helped twenty lonely pensioners leave Latvia for Moscow. I agreed with one of the good boarding houses where pensioners lived at first. And later, a charitable foundation was created, headed by the comedian's mother's stepbrother. Through this fund, Mikhail Nikolaevich helped veterans' organizations in Latvia.
One of the female veterans, Nina Kapelkina, recalled how she received a call from the fund and was told that a thousand euros had been allocated. With the words: "So that everything is normal for you." At the same time, Mikhail Zadornov never, under any circumstances, called himself a philanthropist, benefactor, and even more so, a benefactor. He just helped as much as he could. Quiet and calm, just doing what his own conscience told him to do.
Perhaps you will not meet in the post-Soviet space a person who would not have heard of Mikhail Zadornov. This talented satirist has been on stage for over 30 years, and his sparkling jokes were taken away for quotes.
