Hidreley admits that artificial intelligence, of course, is far from perfect, and some of the resulting images look quite creepy, and some, on the contrary, have hardly changed the appearance of celebrities. The journalist invited Internet users to express their attitude to the experiment: are the resulting photos successful? Opinions were divided.
“Most celebrities are either too old or too young. In general, it turned out badly, wrote one of the users. Another (by the way, from Russia) said: “If you don’t know how, don’t take it,” explaining that Freddie Mercury turned out to be like “a poor engineer”.
Other commentators are delighted with the experiment and write: “Wow! It's incredible! " and “Great Job”, as well as asking other deceased stars to “age”. Even the Russian rock idol Viktor Tsoi was among the characters proposed for the "alteration".
The experience of the journalist is very interesting. And, perhaps, he caused quite a lot of negative reviews because fans subconsciously do not want to see their idols old. Monroe, Mercury and many other stars who have passed away in their prime have already formed in our minds as a certain picture, an image, and we really do not want to destroy it.
