March 10 marks the 75th anniversary of the famous theater and film actor, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of Belarus Vladimir Gostyukhin. He played more than 100 roles, but most of the viewers remember him from the TV series "Truckers". He is still called Ivanovich, and he does not mind - this role opened his second wind and became fateful. The same was for him meeting with the French singer Mireille Mathieu …

Today Vladimir Gostyukhin says that two countries are equally dear to him - Russia and Belarus. He was born in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg), which he called the capital of the Urals and the homeland of many artists and artists. His parents were at the origins of the creation of the Ural Folk Choir, his father was in charge of the House of Culture and collected folk songs, his mother sang well, participated in amateur performances in the House of Culture and passed on to his son a love of music. Nevertheless, he did not immediately choose a creative profession - he graduated from a radio technical school, worked as an electrician, a watchman in a kindergarten, a stage worker.

In the late 1970s. he moved from Sverdlovsk to Moscow. For 6 years, Gostyukhin worked as a furniture maker at the Theater of the Soviet Army, until finally he was offered to replace a sick actor on the stage. He expected that after that his talent would be noticed and finally taken into the troupe. However, for some time he still had to wear furniture and assemble decorations, then he was offered roles in the crowd scene, and only 3 years later he was invited to Mosfilm and approved for one of the roles in Walking Through the Torment. From that moment on, his acting career took off.

The actor considers Belarus to be his second homeland. Firstly, his mother's ancestors were from the Vitebsk province, and secondly, he came there more than once to shoot. While working on the film "Profile and full face" Gostyukhin met the make-up artist Svetlana, for the sake of whom he decided to radically change his life.

The actor has repeatedly admitted that all his life he admired the French singer Mireille Mathieu, who made a "colossal impression" on him. When he was a student, the artist came to the USSR on tour. Having learned about her performance at the Variety Theater, Gostyukhin, disguised as an electrician, burst into her dressing room. Later he recalled: "".

Gostyukhin said that his favorite type of woman is Mireille Mathieu, and his wife Svetlana, in his opinion, was somewhat similar to her. When he met her at Belarusfilm, he fell in love at first sight and moved to Minsk for her sake, leaving both his family and brilliant acting prospects in Moscow. So Mireille Mathieu became an indirect reason that his previous marriage broke up and the actor found a second home. At the same time, love for Belarus turned out to be more durable than their love with Svetlana - after 18 years the marriage broke up. He stayed with his new family to live in Belarus. Since then, he often came to film in Moscow and Leningrad, but he called Minsk his hometown, which he would not exchange for any other city in the world.

Of the more than 100 film roles he played, the actor himself singled out his work in the historical series "In the Woods and the Mountains" and the military drama "Sergeant Major", but called several seasons of the "Truckers" series "the hit of his life". Although both before and after that he appeared on screens in dozens of different images, millions of viewers loved his chauffeur Ivanovich the most. When the first season of the series was released in 2000, the nationwide popularity fell on the actor: he could not even go to the store anymore - he was stopped at every step with the words "hello, trucker!"

By that time, Gostyukhin had already played more than 50 film roles, and all of them were diverse. Significant for him were the films "Walking in Torment", thanks to which the 28-year-old actor was finally noticed by the directors, "Ascent", where he played his first major role, "In Search of Captain Grant," where Gostyukhin created a brilliant image of Major McNabbs. But despite such a successful acting career and constant demand, he admitted that "Truckers" opened a second wind for him in the cinema "after the black-eyed perestroika cinema." Together with his filming partner Vlad Galkin, they immediately found a common language and, according to Gostyukhin, "literally bathed in the material."

Obviously, this image turned out to be so voluminous and realistic due to the fact that it was very close to the actor himself. The scriptwriters wrote this role specifically for him. Gostyukhin did not like serials, but when he received the script for the first five episodes, he recognized his character traits in this hero and agreed to shoot. About his Ivanitch Gostyukhin said: "". The actor himself for a long time could not get used to the new reality after the collapse of the USSR and considered himself a person “from that life”.

The actor learned to drive a truck back in the late 1970s, when he played a driver in the film "Accidental Passengers", but by the time filming began in "Truckers" he did not yet have a license. Most of the scenes in the series were filmed not in a real KamAZ cab, but in a specially constructed copy of it, which stood on a platform on wheels. This structure was transported by a tractor with cameras and soffits. It was Ivanovich who pushed the actor to the decision to pass on the license - Gostyukhin was ashamed to play the driver, while not being able to drive a car professionally.
