One day, Zhou was driving along the road and saw a hit dog on the side of the road, which was badly injured and could not walk on its own. Nobody paid attention to the animal, everyone just drove by. Zhou couldn't do the same. He picked up the poor animal and took him to the veterinary clinic. After this incident, the guy's life changed dramatically.

Zhou Yusong is now known as the "Keeper of the Dogs." He protects them from a hungry life and in every possible way helps them to live in warmth and care. Zhou lives in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. And the story with which his new life began took place eight years ago.

Then, Zhou brought the dog downed on the road to the veterinary clinic and was surprised to see that there were already an incredible number of stray dogs in the clinic that had somehow suffered from human activities. The dogs were given as little help as possible and left again on the street, because there was no room for all of them. And Zhou himself could not take even the dog he brought with him - there was no place for an animal in his small apartment. So, the guy began to give the veterinary clinic 200 yuan (about $ 30) monthly for current needs.

However, the feeling that mere donations were not enough haunted Zhou. Then he asked his friend to lend him 800,000 yuan ($ 122,000) to set up an animal shelter on the banks of the river. Since then, Zhou himself has run the orphanage and has done most of the work at the institution on his own.

According to the shelter's documents, during his time working with dogs, Zhou was able to save more than 700 dogs, and this is not counting other animals, which also sometimes appear in Zhou's care. During this time, the guy never took a vacation and devotes all his time to animals, so he even had to leave his previous job. The shelter is funded by charitable donations, and that's why Zhou tries to do everything he can on his own - fix the fence, clean the cages, feed the animals …

Such dedication is certainly delightful, and recently, after the local Chinese newspaper wrote about Zhou, the guy became even more famous, and people began to help him both with money and help with his work.

And at the same time, in the same China, you can see a completely different attitude towards dogs: some owners prefer make your pets muteso as not to quarrel with neighbors.
