They do not just look at you, winking ominously and opening their mouths in an attempt to bite more painfully, but greedily reaching out with their hands and striving to grab it tighter. And you sit, blinking your eyes, still not understanding what the hell is going on around, and why cups and plates are more like dishes from a horror movie, in which you happened to be against your will, where the picture changes one another and at the table next to you and opposite turn out to be girls in eerily faceless masks who willingly joined the tea party …

Ronit Baranga, a psychologist by training and a sculptor by vocation, inspired by the difficult relationship between people and objects, has created a shocking series of works that could surpass even the most sophisticated plot of the Hannibal series, where the charming Doctor Lector, arranging far not harmless meals, as if nothing had happened conducts small talk with his "colleague" detective Will Graham. And all would be fine, but what the talented craftswoman does is the real devil, in comparison with all the aesthetic scenes and dishes from the film. One has only to look at how a scarlet tongue stretches out of the cup and teeth snap almost in front of the nose, immediately throws into cold sweat from the unpleasant sensation that all these dishes will come to life a little more and definitely, leaving the table on foot. Agree that not everyone will eat from such a service. But there are also those who like these plates, teapots and vases.

In addition to the toothy-big-eyed-hand ware, the woman also comes up with sculptures (it is worth noting that they are also not very iridescent). Bald babies, screaming with their full mouths, more like little devils than ordinary children, women of not the most pleasant appearance, whose faces, "swimming", left behind only the outlines of scarlet lips - this is the smallest part of what an accidental person encounters. the viewer who wandered into the exhibition or stumbled upon the author's page on the network. And nevertheless, despite all the conflicting opinions and conventional wisdom, there is definitely something in her work that would be worth pondering, why it was so, and not otherwise.

Artist David Michael Bowers, although he does not create sculpture, nevertheless, his paintings are in no way inferior in their madness to the works of Ronit Barangi. His controversial art in the style of dark realism is nothing more than the purest water.
