The history of the Mosfilm film concern began almost a hundred years ago with the First State Film Factory. Over the long history of Mosfilm, more than two thousand full-length films have been produced here, many of which are watched by viewers many times. Today we invite you to remember the amazing pictures created at the Mosfilm film studio, which were undeservedly forgotten.
"Big ore", 1964, directed by Vasily Ordynsky
A surprisingly atmospheric film in which the story unfolds around a young man who went to work in a mine. Excellent direction, very high-quality work of the operator and talented actors literally doomed the picture to success. In the film you can see real masters of their craft: Evgeny Urbansky, Vsevolod Sanaev, Stanislav Lyubshin, Inna Makarova, Mikhail Gluzsky and other wonderful actors.
"Every Day of Doctor Kalinnikova", 1973, director Vasily Titov
The picture about Dr. Kalinnikova was conceived as a story about Gabriel Ilizarov, an experimental medical doctor in the Urals. But the Soviet censorship might not have let the film go to the screens if the name of the doctor appeared in it. Iya Savvina starred in the lead role, and you can also see Alexander Kalyagin, Elsa Lezhdey, Igor Yasulovich and Valery Zolotukhin on the screen.
"Skirmish in a Blizzard", 1977, directed by Alexander Gordon
A film about construction workers in the Far North who were taken hostage by armed bandits. The heroes of Leonid Markov and Valentin Gaft in this picture find themselves on opposite sides of the barricade. One personifies courage, courage and honor, the other - blatant evil, greed and cruelty.
"Old-Fashioned Comedy", 1978, directors Era Savelyeva and Tatiana Berezantseva
The psychological and intimate picture tells the story of the love of two already middle-aged, but so thirsty for happiness people. Do they have a chance to move on together? Igor Vladimirov and Alisa Freundlich play, filling the entire space with love, hope, fear or tenderness.
"Appointment", 1980, director Sergei Kolosov
This film will give viewers an unusual experience. Andrei Mironov plays a completely unusual role for him, and Maria Mironova and Irina Kupchenko, Alexander Kalyagin and Alexander Grave appear in the frame with him.
"Uninvited Friend", 1980, directed by Leonid Maryagin
The film about two scientists is remarkable even for the fact that it became the last work of Oleg Dal. However, almost every actor who starred in this film deserves a separate mention: Oleg Tabakov and Natalya Belokhvostikova, Anatoly Romashin and Natalya Gundareva, Vsevolod Sanaev, Ivan Ryzhov, Irina Alferova, Ekaterina Vasilyeva. The talented play of wonderful Soviet actors makes this picture a real masterpiece.
Fox Hunt, 1980, director Vadim Abdrashitov
The crime drama raises important social issues, but with the participation of real filmmakers, it turns into a soulful narration of human destinies. The amazing work of the entire film crew and, of course, the actors, Vladimir Gostyukhin, Irina Muravyova, Igor Nefedov, Dmitry Kharatyan, Alla Pokrovskaya and others.
"The Story of an Unknown Person", 1981, directed by Vytautas Zhalakevicius
The film, based on the story of the same name by Anton Chekhov, instantly plunges the viewer into the atmosphere of the 19th century. A series of unique images created on the screen, and the director's talent of the creator of the film allow the viewer to decide for himself what is the main thing in the picture and what is secondary. And the wonderful actors, it seems, all play the main roles. The film stars Alexander Kaidanovsky, Evgenia Simonova, Georgy Taratorkin, Lyudmila Zaitseva, Pavel Kadochnikov and many other talented representatives of their profession.
Farewell, 1981, directors Elem Klimov and Larisa Shepitko
This film will be a real emotional shock. Elem Klimov and Larisa Shepitko did everything so that the viewer did not empathize with the heroes, but felt with them, buried his house, killed trees, said goodbye to the sun and the land of their ancestors. "Farewell" absolutely defies verbal description, this tape must be seen and lived.
"Portrait of the Artist's Wife", 1981, director Alexander Pankratov
The story of love and fidelity, about tests of strength and spiritual generosity is told by the main characters performed by Valentina Telichkina, Sergei Shakurov and Nikita Mikhalkov. As a result, the film is beautiful and touching, filled with special poetics and deep meaning.
