Yuri Shevchuk is a legend of Russian rock: every song is a hit, every phrase is a quote. They love him, respect him, fear him, reckon with him and take an example from him. It would seem that always a sharp-tongued, provocative and straightforward musician is not capable of simple human weaknesses. But it turns out that there was tragic love in the life of the soloist of the DDT group, to which he dedicated his saddest and most lyrical songs, including “Actress Spring”, “This is all”, “Blizzard” and others. Who is she - a mysterious muse, which became Shevchuk's greatest inspiration and grief?

Daring rebel, love of drawing and music

Many people think that Ufa is the birthplace of the rocker. This is partly true, because Shevchuk lived most of his life in the Bashkir capital, here he took his first steps and became a musician. But Yuri was born in another place, in the Magadan region, and until the age of 13 he lived in Nalchik. Even at school, the young man showed his impudent character: he, for example, could come to school in a T-shirt with a painted crucifix and an inscription stating that that Jesus Christ was a hippie. Then the teenager began to play the guitar and accordion. However, he did not plan to connect his life with music, he had another passion - drawing. And he seriously wanted to become an artist, having entered the Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute. Wanting to earn at least a little, Shevchuk traveled to arrange pig farms and cowsheds in nearby villages, worked as a loader, locksmith, fireman, janitor, watchman. And after graduation, he was assigned to one of the villages near Ufa, where he worked as an art teacher for three years. But still love for rock and roll prevailed, and in 1980, Yuri, having played in several groups, organized the group “DDT ". The name is deciphered, by the way, as dichlorodiphenylthichloroethane - a means used to fight insects ("for domestic creatures", as the people say)

Elmira - love and pain

It was during this period that Shevchuk met the beautiful Elmira Bikbova. It would seem that fate itself brought them together: they lived in the neighboring streets, studied in the same school (only in different years), went to rehearsals in the same recreation center. By that time, Yuri, already a well-known musician in Ufa, was 27 years old. The girl celebrated her 17th birthday, studied in her senior class, loved rock, was fond of dancing and dreamed of becoming an actress. The artist first saw Elmira when she performed in one of the chess clubs at the Oil University. The guy began to take care of the girl, and soon a romance broke out between them. Bikbova's mother did not interfere with the relationship of the lovers, affectionately calling Yuri "the mustached nanny", only insisted that her daughter receive an education. Although the neighbors were perplexed that they found an exemplary beautiful girl in a bearded musician singing incomprehensible songs. At the age of majority, Shevchuk presented his beloved with a portrait of her and promised that he would paint her every year so that by the age of 50 she would already have 32 paintings. After leaving school, the girl planned to enter the capital's universities, but failed the exams and returned to her hometown. Yuri, on the contrary, was expelled from Ufa, was under constant supervision of the KGB, so he lived in Sverdlovsk, Cherepovets, Moscow, Leningrad … Meanwhile, his beloved was collecting signatures so that the musician was allowed to return home. And, being apart, young people wrote to each other touching and sincere love letters in the best traditions of the Silver Age. In 1985 Shevchuk finally settled in Leningrad, where Elmira arrived. A year later they got married, and after the same amount of time they had a son, who was named Petya. It was then that Yuri wrote the famous "Actress Spring", and read lines from it to his beloved right under the windows of the hospital.

But after the birth of her son, the musician's wife did not abandon her intention to become an actress and entered the Ufa Institute of Arts. Separation again, touching letters, promises that soon everything will change and the family will always be together. After graduation, the girl returned to Leningrad, got a job at the Puppet Theater. It would seem that life began to improve. But the state of health began to bother Elmira more and more: she complained of severe headaches and numbness in her hands. She was sent for examination, and then a terrible diagnosis - cancer. But, as it turned out, the disease had already been neglected, a very expensive operation was required - there was practically no time left to raise money. Shevchuk tried as best he could: he got medicines abroad, took his wife to reputable doctors. But neither surgery nor chemotherapy could help.

Elmira burned down in just a couple of months - she died in 1992 at the age of 24. A few years later, the inconsolable Shevchuk dedicated the album "Actress Spring" to his departed wife, which also included the songs "Rain, Motherland", "In the Last Autumn", "What is Autumn" and others. to death: a girl with a ball, sun, flower.

Elmira's death was such a shock for Shevchuk that he came to his senses for a long time and raised his son alone. A few years later, Yuri had an affair with actress Daria Yurgens, who left her husband for a new relationship. But when she found out about pregnancy, the lead singer of the DDT group put her before a choice: either family and children, or a career. The girl chose the latter, having an abortion. Later, the musician began dating actress Maryana Polteva, who in 1997 gave birth to his son Fedor. However, later the chosen one moved to Germany, and was in no hurry to return back. Shevchuk did not want to live in another country. And so another romance ended. However, the former lovers managed to maintain friendly relations. Little is known about the current chosen one of the rock veteran: her name is Ekaterina, she cooks deliciously, sometimes she goes out with Yuri. However, Shevchuk now decided to carefully protect his personal life from prying eyes, and the musician's beloved herself asks him not to talk about their family life.

Grandmothers helped to bring up the elder Petya Shevchuk, and in order to make him a real man, his father sent him to study at the naval cadet corps. However, the guy did not bind life in military service, deciding, like dad, to become a musician. But the tastes of loved ones are completely different: a young man known as DJ Pete is experimenting in the techno style. Peter is also engaged in the creation of websites and mobile applications.
