We live very often without thinking about what will happen tomorrow. We are wasting time, but we cannot return a single second. We often do not value simple joys … But the worst thing is when we lose a loved one. This loss can be experienced, but it cannot be accepted. One artist wrote a series of paintings about how it hurts when the dearest person in your life leaves forever.

Yet we are well aware that we are mortal, no one is eternal and nothing is eternal. But how hard it is to accept and accept for granted when the one we love leaves us. We cannot deal with this. This is incredibly hard for us to get through. All we will want is at least once more, just to take the hand, hug at least once, look into dear eyes, say "I love" and "I'm sorry." Philadelphia-based illustrator Tom Booth portrayed a heartbreaking story of love and death in a series of his paintings.

Tom Booth is an author, illustrator and character designer. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Tom started painting when he was 5 years old. The talented artist painted his first works on the kitchen table in his parents' house. Little Tom dreamed of being like his older brother and imitated him in everything. When it came time to choose his path in this life, Tom Booth entered Hamilton College. There he studied art history. But the young man did not forget his love for drawing. During his studies, he began drawing cartoons of college life and cartoon plots. After graduation, he moved to New York. There he took a job at Scholastic. During his tenure, he gained enough experience and excellent references to convince the publishers at Simon & Schuster to publish his book. It was a picture book Derek Jeter Spends the Night at the Stadium. This book became a bestseller, with Tom Booth mostly focusing on illustration. He has worked on animation and publishing for Macmillan, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Workman Publishing, and Nicktoons. Tom currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with his fiancée and two cats. He is working on several of his own books. His latest project is a sentimental story about a lumberjack and his beloved woman. Tom Booth talks about this project: “This is a deep, very personal story that I intend to publish. I don't know yet in what format it will be. And I do not want to prematurely reveal all the secrets. I'll just say it's a story of loss."

The illustrations in this project tell the story of a lumberjack's sad love story. His beloved has died and he carves her figure out of wood. Every day, over and over again. Because she can’t come to terms with the fact that she is no longer there. The woodcutter does this until he can hug her again.

The artist in these paintings showed the real magic of art, which can be born from the rough ax of a woodcutter. The main thing is to be able to love. After all, love is also art. If you are interested in art, read our article. about the secrets of the lost masterpieces of the great masters.
