Nikolai Kryuchkov was the real favorite of directors and spectators. A talented, charming, handsome actor was created to play the roles of real men. However, he was just as charismatic in life as he was on the screen. In his four marriages, he experienced the whole gamut of feelings: from ardent passion to irreparable tragedy. Nikolai Kryuchkov was able to find his quiet haven after he turned 50.

Nikolay Kryuchkov met his first wife Maria Pastukhova while working on the film "Tractor Drivers". By this time he was already a famous artist, he was recognized on the streets and asked for autographs. Maria studied at GITIS and was completely fascinated by her colleague. It was simply impossible not to fall in love with him: open, domineering, with a charming smile and incredible male charisma.

The novel was so impetuous that soon the actors were already standing in front of the doors of the registry office. Nikolai Afanasyevich wanted to sign modestly and invited only two of his closest friends to the wedding. But Maria was not at all going to hide her famous husband, and therefore almost her entire course came to congratulate her.

The family had a son, Boris, but the marriage lasted only six years and broke up in 1945. Some believe that the culprit was Nikolai Kryuchkov's romance with actress Alla Parfanyak, who became the second wife of the actor.

They met on the set of the movie "Heavenly Slow", where their passionate romance began. However, family life turned out to be completely different from the ideas of Nikolai Kryuchkov. He is not used to talking badly about those women who made him happy, even if only for a very short time. It is for this reason that he never told anyone about the difficulties of his first marriage.

Only many years later, the fourth wife of the actor, Lydia Nikolaevna, was told about Kryuchkov's life in his second marriage by his old friend and colleague. She recalled that the actor, returning to the capital from difficult long filming, for some reason often went straight to the hotel, and not to his home.

The reason was as old as the world: once, having returned home ahead of schedule, Nikolai Afanasyevich found a famous actor with his wife. On the same day, he packed his things and left for good. The actor later left Alla Parfanyak, and she even came to her ex-husband to complain about the treachery of her former lover. And then she found her happiness in marriage with Mikhail Ulyanov.

The relationship between Nikolai Afanasyevich and his son Nikolai was also difficult, which later completely went wrong, and relatives stopped communicating with each other altogether.

However, after parting with his second wife, the actor faced a much more terrible test. While working on the film Home, Nikolai Afanasyevich met the famous skier Zoya Kochanovskaya. They became husband and wife three months before the end of filming, a one-room apartment, allocated by the city authorities, was waiting for them in Moscow, but Nikolai Kryuchkov returned to it alone.

In Leningrad, where the filming of the film ended, Zoya asked to stop the car on one of the central streets to buy herself lipstick. She was already hurrying back to the “gazik” that was waiting for her when the young woman was hit by a car with military plates. Zoya Kochanovskaya died in the arms of her husband, whose marriage lasted only three months.

After the tragic death of his wife, the actor fell into a deep depression. Acquaintances and friends of the actor began to seriously worry about his life. But two years after the tragedy, fate gave Nikolai Kryuchkov another chance to become happy.

He came to Kanev to shoot the film "Nylon Nets". Even on the way, he felt unwell, and in Kanev, for several days, he could not leave the room. Lydia Nikolaevna, the director's assistant for actors, every morning inquired about his well-being.

It seemed to her that Nikolai Kryuchkov treated her with a noticeable coolness, and he seemed to be studying her, watching her every step. Gradually, a mutual trust arose between the actor and the assistant director, which quickly grew into sympathy, and then more serious feelings. They became husband and wife, and their daughter Elvira was born in the marriage.

For 32 years of family life, they have never deceived each other's trust, have always been together, resisted any adversity. Lydia Nikolaevna never tired of being surprised at the rumors that arose around her husband. For some reason, it was believed that Nikolai Kryuchkov drinks a lot, but next to her he allowed himself to skip just a couple of glasses, and later he stopped drinking alcohol altogether.

Nikolai Afanasyevich was capable of romantic actions, never tired of making surprises to his wife and was always ready to stand up for the honor of a woman, even if they were unfamiliar.

Several years before his departure, Nikolai Kryuchkov suddenly asked his wife if she would marry when he was gone. And he himself answered with sadness: he cannot, because no one will treat her the way he does. He really pampered his wife with attention, care and gifts. And he was happy to see a happy sparkle in her eyes.

Nikolai Kryuchkov passed away in April 1994 due to a tumor in the larynx. And Lydia Nikolaevna really never married again. In her life there was no one else who could compare with Nikolai Afanasyevich.

Today, films made during the Great Patriotic War are already history. And also a certain moral criterion for modern people. The film "A guy from our city", where the main role was played by Nikolai Kryuchkov, gave people hope and faith in victory.
