The famous comedy by Leonidai Gaidai "Sportloto-82" was very popular and in the year of its release it became the highest-grossing film - then it was watched by about 50 million viewers, although critics called the movie a failure. The young actors who played the main roles in the film - Svetlana Amanova, Denis Kmit and Algis Arlauskas - became incredibly popular. But their fates developed in such a way that these roles became the first and last peaks in their creative biography.
In the role of Kostya, viewers could see Evgeny Gerasimov. Gaidai could not make his choice for a long time, but the artistic council approved Algis Arlauskas. Nevertheless, he almost lost his role - on the day when the shooting was supposed to begin, the actor had a daughter, so he could not go to Crimea with the film crew. After he received a telegram that they were going to remove him from the role, he nevertheless decided not to miss this chance and did not regret it. True, the shooting was given to him at the cost of considerable effort - since he had to spend a lot of time in cold water, the actor got pneumonia and went to the set with a temperature of 40. It was not easy for him because the director told Algis what he was planning to make of him the second Shurik. Arlauskas did not want to try on someone else's image, and in the comic role he felt uncomfortable. "" - said the actor.
Although before that Algis Arlauskas played several main roles, it was this film that became his finest hour. "" - said the actor about this role. After the release of the film on the screens, he became a real favorite of the public. The fans did not give him a pass. But despite his success, he did not want to continue his acting career - in fact, he believed that he became an actor by mistake, while he always dreamed of becoming a director. And after filming the movie "Sportloto-82" he tried to realize his plans. Arlauskas graduated from VGIK, started making documentaries, and in 1991 decided to leave the country. Algis Arlauskas has been living in the Spanish city of Bilbao for almost 30 years. Now he is there - a popular theater actor and theater school teacher.
Denis Kmit played Paul, the groom of the main character Tanya. Other actors, including Mikhail Boyarsky, also auditioned for this role, but the novice actor was approved. Later Denis Kmit talked about filming: "".
Denis Kmit did not bathe in the glory for long - a tragic incident that happened shortly after filming the film changed his life forever. He fell from the second floor, suffered a serious spinal injury and was confined to a wheelchair, so he was forced to leave the acting profession. True, in the early 1990s. Denis Kmit reappeared on the screens - he played the main role in the film "Ka-ka-du", after another 7 years viewers saw him in the crime series "Turn of the Key", but the actor has not reached its former popularity. Denis Kmit did not act in films anymore.
The main rival of Svetlana Amanova at the auditions was Larisa Udovichenko, but the aspiring actress was approved for the role. For the sake of filming in this film, she had to dye her hair blonde - all the participants in the love triangle in the film were dark-haired, and the director decided that there must be at least one "bright spot". At first, they wanted to repaint Algis (like his predecessor Shurik), but as a result they decided that Amanova would have to change the appearance.
All these years, Svetlana Amanova kept, as a talisman, a lottery ticket from the shooting, presented to the actress by the director on March 8. After her starring role, she received many offers from directors, but almost all of them were of the same type - she was offered episodic roles of pretty girls. And the actress herself dreamed of serious dramatic roles. Disappointed in the profession, Amanova left the cinema. Due to creative failure and after the death of her mother, the actress fell into a severe depression, which she was able to cope with only after 6 years. She returned to cinema only in the 2000s, starring in several TV series. For more than 30 years Svetlana Amanova has been serving at the Maly Theater.
After the release of the film, many Soviet viewers began to buy lottery tickets, while crossing out the same numbers that the heroine of Svetlana Amanova had chosen. It is interesting that such a combination of numbers became winning in real life - it happened in 2009.
All the actors who played the participants in the love triangle in this film remain actors of the same role. This fate befell many other stars of Soviet cinema: 5 famous actresses who left the cinema after a loud triumph.

Modern cinema has no shortage of actors. But often directors invite the same actors to play "their" characters. Perhaps it is easier for the actors themselves, they need to get used to one role, and easily move from film to film in a similar way. For example, someone always plays a nice romantic, someone is a brutal slob, and someone is a naive simpleton. Sometimes these actors have attempts to get away from the image, but this does not bring much success. It doesn't diminish them
