Such a genius who dared to challenge reality is the artist Mark Crilley … His art project is called so: Realism Challenge … People who had to watch the artist's work call him a virtuoso and a "scanner", he draws such exact copies from nature, as if he was doing cloning on paper. One of the latest works included in the Realism Challenge art project is a playing card, torn to pieces, and then drawn by Marc Crilli so that the first time you can't guess where is the original and where is the drawn copy.
At first, a sketch appears on paper, which soon becomes overgrown with so many details that it seems as if the author is trying to memorize the features and images of every household item that serves as a model for him this time. For work and creativity, the artist uses the sharpest pencil leads and ballpoint pens, needle-thin brushes, paints and markers of natural colors and shades. He so clearly depicts everyday objects that are familiar to us that looking at the drawing, one might think that these are real objects.
