Perhaps Gezine Marwedel would have received the education of an artist, if not for the fact that at one time she volunteered in India, helping the poor and orphans. Yesterday's schoolgirl was so impressed by the experience that she returned from India, without hesitation, entered the medical institute. However, the work as a volunteer predetermined not only the professional, but also the creative path of Gesine Marwedel: she was carried away with painting with renewed vigor.
As you know, the art of body painting is very widespread in India, in particular, body painting with henna is widely popular. On human bodies, the German artist depicts landscapes and abstract paintings, decorates people with incredible ornaments, or even turns them into animals, birds, or "disguises" volunteers for the area that she chooses as a background. So, in the forest, a person turns into a forest nymph or dryad, merging with trees and grass, and against the background of the picture it becomes its logical continuation or addition.
