Cardboard is not the kind of material that artists love. Well, what can you make of it? Perhaps the applique. But Chilean artist Don Lucho disagrees. He has been creating his world out of cardboard for many years now.
And this world, I must say, is no less relief and diverse than ours, the real world. Among Don Lucho's installations, one can recall a full-size car that "crashed" into a pole at a street crossroads. Or a single-engine plane that "crashed" in the middle of a city park.
In addition, the whole house, built by Don Lucio from cardboard, deserves attention. This house still has a kitchen (with all kitchen furniture and utensils), a living room (with a made-up bed, window, bedside table, rugs and even clothes scattered on the floor) and a toilet (toilet paper in it, of course, is also made of cardboard) …
Don Lucho himself does not comment on his work in any way. Everyone is free to decide what message they carry.
