They first met in Lviv, a graduate of the Baku Choreographic School and a conscript. Bohdan Stupka, after graduating from the studio at the M. Zankovetskaya Lviv Theater, was drafted into the army, but his service was held in the Song and Dance Ensemble. And Larisa, after moving from Baku, went to work at the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater.

Bogdan and Larisa found themselves in the same company at the celebration on November 7. Bogdan liked a slender, beautiful girl, but at that moment he did not dare to declare his sympathy, and what could a simple soldier offer to a successful ballerina? She enjoyed well-deserved male attention, there were many fairly wealthy fans around her. Larisa noticed a tall, stately young man, but at that moment she did not have any feelings.

Fate later pushed them against each other. And at some point it turned out that they had many common topics for conversation, they have similar views on life. Their romance could not be called impetuous. They just talked, were friends and at some point realized how difficult it had become for them to do without each other.

Family is a responsibility

There were no pretentious poses and beautiful words in Bogdan Silvestrovich's proposal. He simply understood that this young beautiful woman with a chiseled figure and intelligent eyes was his destiny. He invited her to become his wife and took her to meet my mother.

On the day of the first meeting, everyone was worried. Moreover, Larisa did not know the Ukrainian language at all, and in the Stupka family they spoke only their native language. But there were no difficulties in communication. The future mother-in-law generously shared the secrets of preserving the family with her son's chosen one. True, Larisa Semyonovna herself refuses to tell them, believing that such recipes are individual for each couple.

Bogdan Stupka and Larisa Kornienko signed in 1967, and a year later a son, Ostap, was born in the family. At first it was not easy for the young. Bogdan was just beginning his career in art. Larisa devoted herself entirely to her family. She tirelessly looked after her husband and little son, diligently arranged their home, created comfort. The money was sorely lacking, and at some point Larisa, tired of household chores and attempts to decently maintain the house for mere pennies, even filed for divorce.

Of course, they were not immediately divorced, they were given a month to think. Probably, each of them thought about how they would live on. Apart, without each other. They understood the main thing: their family is the most important thing in life. Since then, Bogdan Silvestrovich and Larisa Semyonovna have become inseparable. And they began to anxiously guard their fragile family happiness from prying eyes, everyday problems and misunderstandings.

Life long happiness

For the warmth and love of Larisa, her husband paid her with unparalleled loyalty and care. He did not give her reasons for jealousy, despite the abundance of beautiful women around and a large army of fans. Larisa learned to just ignore the rumors around her husband's name.

When there were performances with the participation of Bogdan Stupka, she invariably sat in the auditorium. She was proud of her husband and fell in love with him again and again. In her youth, when they lived in Lviv, she also attended his rehearsals. To help compose the plastic drawing of the role, Larisa's ballet experience was very valuable.

Together they went through the difficulties of forming a family, learned patience and accumulated worldly wisdom. She gladly helped him choose scarves and hats, knot ties and blew dust from his suits. When watching Taras Bulba, Larisa always cried when she learned that her husband almost burned to death during filming.

Bogdan Silvestrovich believed that all his successes, titles, awards were the merit of Larisa, his only beloved woman. They raised a wonderful son who followed in his father's footsteps, rejoiced at the appearance of grandchildren and were simply happy.

And then trouble came to the house. The alarm bell sounded on the day when Bogdan Stupka suddenly lost consciousness while shooting the film “Once Upon a Time in Rostov”. The actor was diagnosed with cancer. They fought a terrible disease for two long years, but could not defeat it.
