February 23 to the famous theater and film actor, People's Artist of the USSR Oleg Yankovsky could have turned 74 years old, but, unfortunately, he has been dead for 9 years already. In his filmography there are more than 80 works, but one of the most memorable was the main role in the film. "The same Munchausen" … There were so many interesting scenes on and off the set that they could have become the plot of another movie.
The idea to film the play "The Most Truthful" by Grigory Gorin, based on the works of Raspe about the adventures of Munchausen, was born to director Mark Zakharov when he saw her theatrical production. “”, - explained the director.
After working together in "An Ordinary Miracle" Mark Zakharov did not represent anyone except Yankovsky in the main role. But the members of the artistic council and the author of the play, Grigory Gorin, doubted his candidacy. "", - Gorin admitted.
Yankovsky called this role one of his favorite and said: "".
But for the role of the beloved of the main character Martha, several famous actresses passed at once: instead of Elena Koreneva, the audience could see Irina Mazurkevich or Tatyana Dogileva. The role of Theophilus could have gone to Yuri Vasiliev, and the role of Ramkopf to Sergey Kolesnikov, but the artistic council approved the candidacies of Leonid Yarmolnik and Alexander Abdulov. Although there were great doubts about the latter - they said that there was no irony in him, although youth and charm made up for this in full. One of the few actors who did not raise doubts in anyone is Leonid Bronevoy. It was approved without trial.
The most desperate and reckless on the set were Alexander Abdulov and Oleg Yankovsky. For the first of them, this prowess had dramatic consequences. Part of the filming took place in Germany, and once during a break Abdulov invited the German stuntman to measure his strength "on the fingers". Actor Vladimir Dolinsky said: "". In one of the scenes, it was necessary to jump from a height of 4 meters, and Abdulov persuaded the director to let him perform this trick without an understudy. As a result, he dislocated his toe and leg. Yankovsky also loved to tickle his nerves. "", - said Mark Zakharov.
Elena Koreneva turned out to be the only lady in the men's company during the filming in Germany, and all her brilliant partners on the set immediately began vying with each other, half-jokingly, half-seriously after her. Yarmolnik even confessed his love to her. And once Abdulov burst into her room and asked to take part in a rally: when he knocks on the door, she must open it naked. Koreneva followed his lead, undressed and opened the door, seeing behind her Yankovsky, Abdulov, Kvasha, Dolinsky and Farada on her knees and with cervelat in her hands.
The film was released on New Year's Eve, December 20, 1979, and was released on December 31. Perhaps, thanks to the pre-holiday bustle, the commission spared him, and he suffered from censorship to a lesser extent than, for example, "An ordinary miracle" - then every phrase at the artistic council had to be defended with a fight. "". They cut out just one scene, where the people around told the hunter in the hotel that they were learning from his books. In this they saw a hidden allusion to "Malaya Zemlya", written by Leonid Brezhnev, which was then studied by the whole country.
For many, he remained a mystery. Unknown Oleg Yankovsky: an actor in the memories of friends, relatives and colleagues.
