This fact is confirmed by the examples of twin brothers and sisters who became actors and became famous throughout the country. True, not for all of them this success was lasting, and not all couples of equally beautiful and talented managed to build a brilliant film career.

One of the most popular Soviet films for children was the fairy tale "The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors", where the main roles were played by young actresses Olya and Tanya Yukin. This film became their debut in cinema, they got on the set by accident - after they decided to take part in the competition for twin children, which was conducted by the famous director Alexander Rowe, looking for characters for their new film. The girls turned out to be the most artistic and charming, and they were invited to audition. The roles of Oli and Yalo in "The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors" became their calling card and high point - this tale was recognized as the best children's film of 1963. Despite this success, in the future the film career of the Yukin sisters did not work out: they played only one more film by Rowe "Morozko", after which they disappeared from the screens forever.

As the girls grew older, they lost their childhood charm, and the directors lost interest in them. In addition, the sisters' parents did not consider acting as a serious profession and insisted that they enroll in a mechanical engineering college. Having received their diplomas, both sisters got married and had children, and then both got a job at the Intourist hotel, which at that time was considered very prestigious - they were engaged in sending Soviet tourists abroad, they themselves often visited different countries. And after the collapse of the Union, a black streak began in their lives: both sisters lost their jobs, both became addicted to alcohol. Olga Yukina died in 2005 at the age of 51, followed by her sister Tatyana in 2011.

In the 1980s. twin brothers Yura and Volodya Torsuevs were the most popular Soviet teenagers. After the film "The Adventures of Electronics" was released, they became stars of the all-Union scale. The boys were born on April 22, Lenin's birthday. But Volodya, one of them, was named not in his honor, but in honor of his grandfather. But his brother was named Yuri in honor of Gagarin himself - their father, the secretary of the Komsomol Central Committee, was personally acquainted with the cosmonaut. The Torsuev brothers also got into the cinema thanks to a happy coincidence: in 1979, assistant director Konstantin Bromberg traveled to dozens of Soviet schools in search of twin brothers for the film "The Adventures of Electronics", and the Torsuevs turned out to be ideal candidates - they were artistic and relaxed, and they also knew how sing and play the guitar.

"The Adventures of Electronics" brought unprecedented popularity to the Torsuev brothers: every day they received dozens of letters, their parents had to change their home phone number several times - the fans overcame them. The brothers wanted to continue acting together, but they were no longer offered the roles of twins. Only once did they appear together on the screens - in the film Dunno from Our Yard. After school, the brothers entered the Polygraphic Institute, but were expelled after the first year, then served in the army. In the 1990s. they acted in films twice more, but these films were not successful. The Torsuevs were engaged in business, changed several professions. In 2010, they again appeared on the set again, starring in several films and TV series.

Twin sisters Olga and Tatiana Arntgolts dreamed of acting since childhood - their parents were theater actors. At the age of 9, the girls first appeared on the stage, and at the age of 17 they made their film debut, starring in the series "Simple Truths". At that time, they were already students of the Schepkinsky school, and even during their studies they starred in several films. They initially did not limit their creative horizons to the roles of twin sisters and agreed to act separately. As a result, both Olga and Tatiana managed to achieve considerable success - both became one of the most sought-after actresses in modern Russian cinema. In the filmography of Olga at the moment there are already more than 40 works, Tatyana has more than 50.

The Arntgolts sisters and the Nosik sisters are almost the same age, but the names of the daughters of the famous actor Vladimir Nosik are less known to the general public. Twins Ekaterina and Daria followed in their father's footsteps. Ekaterina graduated from GITIS-RATI, and Daria graduated from the Schepkinsky School. The sisters began acting in films at the age of 11 - their debut work was the film “The Return of the Battleship”. Together they also played in the TV series "Mothers and Daughters", "Ranetki", "The New Life of Detective Gurov" and "Lavrova's Method". In the filmography of Daria Nosik, at the moment there are already more than 35 works, Ekaterina has about 30.

Twin sisters Polina and Ksenia Kutepov from childhood participated in amateur theatrical performances - their older sister Zlata studied in a theater studio, but at first they themselves were more fond of dancing and performed as part of the Loktev ensemble. And their acting future was predetermined by classes in the children's film school at the Palace of Pioneers. Once their photographs caught the eye of the acting assistants from "Mosfilm", and the twin sisters were invited to shoot the film "Vasily and Vasilisa". So at the age of 10, they first appeared on the set. Since then, the world of cinema has not let go of the Kutepovs. Together they almost did not act in films, but both sisters built a very successful film career: in the filmography of Ksenia - about 40 works, and Polina - more than 50.
