They often delighted the audience with their voices, acting skills, talent, beauty and eccentricity, gathering enthusiastic crowds of fans around them, ready to follow their favorite idols even to the ends of the world. But unfortunately, those about whom we are talking are no longer in this world for a long time. Some of them passed away due to drug overdose, and some of them suffered an accident, but one way or another, they were all pretty young …

1. Edie Sedgwick

Perhaps Edie Sedgwick was the very girl who could easily turn the head of any man with her charisma, coupled with an attractive appearance. She shone on TV screens and flashed on the covers of glossy magazines. She was admired by Andy Warhol himself, in whose short films she repeatedly starred. She was also honored to become "Girl of the Year" in 1965, after which she was dubbed "It Girl", and Vogue magazine even called her "Youthquaker". But unfortunately, fate decreed otherwise and a beautiful life, eclipsing the mind of a young fashion model, actress and socialite, made her one step closer to death. Using drugs, alcohol and barbiturates, Eddie got off to the fullest, basking in her own glory, either rejoicing in everyone's attention, or “eating up” emotional experiences with all sorts of filth. And one day it all came to an end. Sedgwick died of an overdose of drugs and barbiturates on November 16, 1971, when she was twenty-eight years old.

Needless to say, the name of Jimi Hendrix is still on the lips of music fans. The ingenious guitarist, singer and songwriter not only managed to conquer world-scale scenes with his talent, but also won the hearts of the public, becoming the idol of the youth of the 90s and 2000s. He was born in Seattle, Washington and began playing guitar at the age of fifteen, gradually developing and improving his talent. And it is not at all surprising that over time, the young man began to act as a guest musician for very famous performers. Each of his appearance on the stage created a real sensation. He not only stood on the sidelines corny and played the strings with his hands, but did real miracles with his electric beauty Fender Stratocaster, turning the guitar upside down so that he could play it with his left hand, thereby opening up a new spectrum of sound for the instrument. Unfortunately, his solo career lasted only a few years, but during these four years he managed to become a recognized virtuoso guitarist, whose name was on everyone's lips. And as regrettable as it may sound, most talented people die so early, leaving behind an indelible mark on history. Jimi Hendrix passed away on September 18, 1970 at the age of twenty-seven. His cause of death is disputed, but the coroner believed he died of a drug overdose, choking on his own vomit.

His stellar career began at the age of ten. Even then, the boy began to flicker on TV screens, acting in commercials. And then there was universal fame and adoration from the fans. His name became associated with the expression "teen sensation". They wrote about him, talked about him, went crazy about him, and he continued to act in films, leaving a trail of twenty-four films and television appearances in his short life story. River is remembered by many for the films "Explorers", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", "My Own Idaho State", "Fool's Bet" and others. And all would be fine, but the thirst for the new and unknown pushed the young star into the arms of drugs. Phoenix managed to mix cocaine with heroin, testing his own fate for strength. And it is not at all surprising that such fun did not last long. On October 31, 1993, River, in the presence of his brother Joaquin, sister Rain, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Samantha Mathis, died at the age of twenty-three from cardiac arrest caused by an overdose of cocaine and heroin.

Kurt Cobain - the idol of the youth, songwriter, guitarist and vocalist of the legendary band "Nirvana", by his very appearance, delighted the large-scale audience. His voice at that time sounded almost from every open window, and the lines from the songs were on everyone's lips, while the boys, gathering in the courtyards, played the guitar, imitating him. But as you know, all good things come to an end sooner or later. It is still not entirely clear what actually happened on April 5, 1994, when Kurt, grabbing a gun, decided to commit suicide. He died at the age of twenty-seven from a gunshot wound he himself sustained.

The beautiful Princess Diana was the first wife of Prince Charles of Wales. And despite the vicissitudes of life, the audience's favorite, she was always affable, kind and smiling. But unfortunately, an irreparable tragedy has happened. On August 31, 1997, Princess Diana had a terrible accident, which, unfortunately, became fatal for her. For his role as a bisexual cowboy in Brokeback Mountain, he received Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations. Young, talented and handsome, Heath has never been ignored. He got such roles that many could only dream of. Think of the Joker in The Dark Knight, where the main villain played by Ledger became an iconic character and a favorite of a multi-million crowd, pushing Batman into the background. And it is not at all surprising that the Joker brought Heath another, but, unfortunately, the last and posthumous "Oscar", making him a truly inimitable character, which hardly anyone will be able to replay. The talented actor died of an accidental drug overdose on January 22, 2008 at the age of twenty-eight.
