Someone will probably be jarred by the idea of turning the temple of God into a gigantic canvas, on which the representatives of street art will leave their multi-colored painting. But the American graffiti artist Hense does not consider himself a seditious person; moreover, he assures that everyone, including representatives of the church, liked the "modernized" version of the temple very much.
Hense, with a small army of his assistants, managed an entire building located in Washington in a matter of weeks. The graffiti artist himself acted as the "artistic director" of the project, but each of the participants left at least one "piece" of his own. They did not strive for severity and used all the colors of the rainbow in the most incredible combinations.
For the most part, the graffiti covering the Washington temple is plotless: bright stripes, geometric shapes and "explosive" color spots. Hense himself published an "appeal" on his website, in which he stated that the reaction to his work was mostly positive: although there were some dissatisfied.
This is far from the only Hense project that a casual passer-by strolling along the streets of one of the American cities has a chance to draw attention to. Murals by the American artist can be found on buildings in Atlanta, Georgia, Richmond, Virginia.
As we already told For the readers of Kulturologia.ru, many churches of different Christian denominations for centuries have been included in the lists of the greatest treasures of world art. In our time, every now and then attempts are being made to say something new in the field of church registration - to take at least snow church in German Bavaria. Hense and his associates have collaborated with the owners of the Washington DC Baptist Temple to be one of the most successful of its kind. Moreover, the clergy risked making a "deal" with street art, which of all types of contemporary art is the most condemned.

Some Slavs remained faithful to Dazhdbog, Khors and Perun, others - mixed the two faiths, "merging" their gods with Christian saints, and still others worshiped brownies. Such a term as dual faith appeared, with which the clergy fought for a long time. To "erase" the ancient Slavic traditions, church and St

Among them there are those that lead to amazement and confusion - anyone, but not the followers of these confessions themselves
"Rural religious procession at Easter": How Perov was almost sent into exile for this painting
Vasily Perov has always been worried about Russian types. He even returned from a trip to Italy, where the Academy of Arts had sent him for his merits, returned ahead of schedule, because he considered that that life was incomprehensible to him, and he would not be able to create something of his own there. Perhaps the most resonant of his paintings was "The Rural Procession at Easter". Some praised the painting for its truthfulness, while others were indignant: how not to get the artist into exile to Solovki for his insolence
