The traditional circus with animals often provokes indignation among animal rights activists. Animals in such circuses often do not have access to nature and spend their entire lives in small cages, forced to perform tricks and are punished for disobedience with blows of a whip or electric shock.

Some countries even officially banned the use of wild animals for entertainment shows - for example, it happened in the Netherlands, Ireland and Mexico. One of the circuses in Germany, the Roncalli circus, went even further - they replaced all their animals with holograms.

The Roncalli circus was founded in 1976, but the current leadership of this institution decided not to stick to its history and completely abandon tricks using live animals. The acrobats remained in the performances, but the animals were replaced by 3D holograms.

The Roncalli show uses images of elephants, horses and fish that move around the arena. For this, the circus entered into an agreement with Bluebox for the installation of 11 holographic projectors, so that the audience, wherever they sit, can see the same high-quality picture.

Viewers speak very favorably about this show. “This is the same difference as between theater and cinema - in the second, there are also no living people right in front of you, but with a competent approach, this does not prevent you from creating an excellent show,” says one of the visitors to the new show.
