Many Czech cities are proud of the medieval painting of their facades. For example, in Cesky Krumlov there is a house, part of the windows of which is painted, from which the tenants look out with curiosity. In Europe, there are also contemporary artists who similarly transform the faceless walls of buildings. For example, Patrick Commecy - the author of a wonderful street art on the streets of French cities.
Patrick Commesi can be safely called one of the most talented muralists of our time, his monumental wall painting is amazing. The artist creates large-scale optical illusions by painting windows and balconies on the facades of houses. One gets the feeling that this is part of an architectural ensemble.
On the balconies, you can often see painted people, hyperrealistic scenes from the life of the French unfold in front of the viewer. Patrick Commesy often portrays famous French people: politicians, scientists, athletes. For example, on one of the houses in the city of Montpellier, the artist depicted six honorary citizens, including Antoine Balard, the discoverer of bromine.
The creation of another drawing by the artist was inspired by the novel "Clochemerle" by Gabriel Chevalier. In this work, the author showed a whole gallery of heroes typical of the 1930s. Patrick Commesi, in turn, painted a whole panorama of French life during this period.
