At one time A. S. Pushkin wrote: "I have erected a monument not made by hands." And many years later, the same phrase can be repeated in relation to people who are in no way connected either with poetry, or with music, or with painting. But their work, nevertheless, is just as important to the people, and perhaps much more. We are talking about inventors and developers who made a huge contribution to the computer and cyber culture, and whose portraits the artist immortalized in his "symbolic" work Charis Tsevis … And it is "symbolic" because Haris Tsevis, an artist, designer and illustrator from Greece, used in his mosaic images the symbols with which we associate the works of these celebrities. Thus, the author made a portrait of Steve Jobs from Apple icons, a portrait of Bill Gates - from standard Windows OS icons, and a mosaic dedicated to Mark Zuckerberg - from the system icons of the social network Facebook created by him.
This unusual art project was not born by chance. Haris Tsevis commissioned the publishing house, which is preparing for publication the book "Gadgets, Games, Robots and the Digital World" by Clive Gifford.
In addition to the aforementioned celebrities, who have had a hand in ensuring that modern technologies develop more and more actively every year, if possible ahead of time, the series of unusual collages includes others. For a complete selection of portraits, visit Charis Tsevis's website.
