Can a spoon be put on display at an art exhibition? It certainly cannot be called simple. And to be honest, she was not the only one presented. However, in order to earn the right to be shown to the world, the spoon had to "try hard" - or rather, the designer who made it.
First of all, it is worth saying a few words about the exhibition itself. The competition was named "Schoonhoven Silver Award 2009", and the name is quite understandable - the first word is the name of the city in the Netherlands, where the "Silver Art Fund" is located, with which the exhibition was organized. The rest is easy to figure out - only silver dishes, jewelry and many other things take part in the competition. however, only the very best are selected. As we can see in the photographs, one cannot disagree with this. Have you ever seen such a beautiful spoon? Of course, we posted the most beautiful different things on the site, but such works, moreover, made of such valuable material as silver, are delightful.
The creation of the spoon belongs to Wiebke Meurer, he made it in 2008. Many other beautiful jewels can be seen at the exhibition. Here you can see the work of 47 designers, among them there are names such as Junko Mori and Hiroshi Suzuki. Some works are simply exquisite, others are insanely beautiful, and others do not evoke anything in the soul but admiration.
The exhibition takes place at the Die Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich from September 25th to November 15th.

3 smart World War II Allied trophies that were worth more than gold bars
The Second World War ended in early September 1945 with the signing of an act of unconditional surrender by the Japanese. Earlier, in the month of May, Nazi Germany surrendered. The winners are still "friends", but they are already beginning to secretly seek out and share trophies of war. And the main ones were not jewelry or works of art: the world was entering a new era, where "smart" trophies were valued much more than gold bars
Why pearl hunters are more decent than gold diggers: Pearl rush on Lake Caddo
Even in Ancient Egypt and India, they knew about the completely unique properties of pearls. In ancient times, it was believed that this gem improves health, preserves youth and beauty. Today, pearl jewelry is a symbol of sophistication, elegance and charm. Natural pearls are very rare these days, but a hundred years ago they were the only type of pearls from which jewelry was made. It was incredibly expensive and the places where it was fortunate to find it began to shake the real
Marlene Dietrich and Ernest Hemingway: more than friendship, less than love
The boundaries beyond which friendship between a man and a woman ends and something more begins is very difficult to define. Especially when it comes to creative individuals. Ernest Hemingway called his relationship with Marlene Dietrich "unsynchronized passion": he woke up feelings when she was not free, and vice versa. Their romance lasted almost 30 years - perhaps so long precisely because it remained epistolary (now they would say - virtual). But there was so much passion in these letters that

The attitude of the Soviet government to contemporary art was not always negative. Suffice it to recall that in the first years after the revolution, the art of the avant-garde was almost state officialdom. Its representatives, such as the artist Malevich or the architect Melnikov, became famous all over the world and at the same time were welcomed in their homeland. However, soon in the country of victorious socialism, advanced art ceased to fit into the party ideology. A symbol of confrontation between the authorities and artists in the CCC
Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy: Stronger than passion, more than love
It seems that their meeting was predetermined by fate. And they met in 1953 so that each of them would find himself thanks to another person. Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy have been inseparable for 40 years. They could be on opposite sides of the ocean, but invisibly nearby. What connected the talented actress and the brilliant fashion designer for several decades, and why, after the departure of Audrey Hepburn, Hubert de Givenchy could not stay in the profession?
