Painter Louis Beltran was born in Valencia in 1973 and still lives there. His works are exhibited in galleries in New York, Madrid, Barcelona, Dijon (France). In terms of topics, they are very versatile, and it would be worthwhile to return to them more than once, but today we are talking about a series of photographs, which the artist called "Cities". These light photos surprisingly poetic; as critics note, "Veiled by a veil of light, Beltran's landscapes transform a clouded eternity into an image. An image that combines lyrical abstraction, German romanticism and advertising graphics …". And after all, perhaps, without advertising and digital graphics, the soul of the streets of a modern city cannot be revealed.
It would seem, where do the souls come from? But when you look at the photographs and photographs of Louis Beltran, you understand: the streets certainly have some kind of spirituality, and when the cobblestones are flooded with warm sunlight, the whole city is quietly rejoicing. And the most frequent image of an artist is a street, which in the long run goes to the source of blinding light, and a person walks along this path. This is very optimistic and reminiscent of the "light at the end of the tunnel".
