Bookmaker Ladbrokes in the UK has started accepting bets on the 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature Winner. The list of bookmakers currently includes the names of two authors from Russia - the writer Viktor Pelevin and the poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko.

Experts Ladbrokes estimate the odds of Pelevin as 100 to 1, and Yevtushenko - 66 to 1. Both authors have been on the bookmaker's lists for the past few years.

The main contender for the Nobel Prize, according to Ladbrokes experts, is the writer Haruki Murakami. On his victory, bets are accepted with a coefficient of 10 to 1. Among the favorites were Seis Notebom from Holland (12/1), writer from China Mo Yan (12/1), Albanian prose writer and poet Ismail Kadare (14/1), poet Ko Un from South Korea (14/1) and poet from Syria Adonis (14/1).

Salman Rushdie, Umberto Eco, Philip Roth, Thomas Pynchon, Cormac McCarthy were also nominated for the Nobel Prize. All in all, there are about 100 people on the list of Ladbrokes bookmakers.

Recall that in 2011 the Swedish poet Tumas Transtremer received the Nobel Prize. The name of this year's award winner will be announced in early October.
