Goiko Mitic from his youth was fond of sports and was an adherent of a healthy lifestyle. He was born and raised in Yugoslavia (now Serbia) into a farming family. Soon directors drew attention to the textured young man and began to offer him to try himself not only as a stuntman and understudy, but also as an actor. In the 1960s. he starred as an Indian in several co-produced westerns from Yugoslavia, the USSR and the GDR. The actor was so convincing in this image that no one simply imagined him in another role. Gojko Mitic quickly learned how to ride a horse, manage a pie and shoot a bow, easily coping with any physical activity.

Goiko looked like a real bodybuilder, and women always paid attention to him. Photos and posters with him flew instantly, letters with declarations of love came in bags.
